L E X I

"Do you want to eat anything?" I asked.

"Actually yeah can I have some marshmallows?" Bella asked.

"Marshmallows?"

"Yes."

"Let me go check if we have any."

I walked downstairs to see the boys all standing around the kitchen in silence. Blayke was crying and the others were just awkwardly not making eye contact.

"Blayke?"

They all looked up at me, they hadn't realised I had come into the room.

"Go back upstairs Lexi." Blayke said.

I didn't say anything but I went over to Blayke and hugged him. He melted in my arms and tears dripped down his face slowly.

"What happened? What's wrong?" I asked.

"You wouldn't understand." Ethan said frowning at me.

Honestly why does he hate me so much. I let go of Blayke and went back upstairs forgetting about the marshmallows.

"Hey did you get any?" Bella asked as I came in.

"Nope, we don't have any sorry." I replied.

I was in Maths and Maddie wasn't in my lesson but Bella and Blayke were. I sat in between them and I could feel the tension. After we finished watching a movie Bella and I went downstairs to find the others still standing around the living room in silence. Bella was only staying for a week, which sucks because she's actually really nice. Her dad doesn't like her staying here with Emily and the boys but she promised she'd come back.

"Lexi!"

"What?" I asked looking for who said my name.
It was Mr Hankin.

"Would you like to tell everyone how to answer this question?" He asked.

I looked at the board and had no idea what was going on.

"Uh..No thanks." I said.

"Then please pay attention in my lessons." He said with a fake smile. I heard a few people laugh but I didn't see how it was funny. I hate this teacher. He just picks on me every lesson to be funny and make the others laugh but it really isn't.

"Lexi?" Bella asked.

"Yeah."

"Are you okay?" She asked staring into my eyes.

No, I'm not 'okay'. My mum just died. I found out my dad was cheating on my mum. I have a rubbish step mum that's barely home. Also I have six step brothers who hate me to death and don't tell me anything.

"I'm fine."

"You wouldn't understand." I said.

I watched Alex let go of Blayke and go upstairs.
I stared at the floor, I felt bad a little bit but I didn't show it. Something hit the side of my head. I watched it roll to the floor. It was an apple.

"Oww!" I screamed as everyone looked up at me. Apart from Sam. He had his arm raised up like he just threw something.

"What did you do that for?" I said.

"I did it because you're an idiot Ethan Carter." Sam said frowning at me.

"Me? What do you mean?"

"Why did you even say that. Oh 'You wouldn't understand'. All she wants is for you to accept her and actually like her but your big fat ego is getting in the way." Sam screamed at me. I'd never seen the kid this mad. He's usually the one keeping everyone else calm.

"Do you know what would happen if we actually got to know her. Mum and Steve or whatever his name is are obviously not going to last. We'll get close to her and then she'll just have to leave and be taken away just like Bella!" I yelled back.

"That was different." Blayke said deadly calm.

"How? Explain to me how it's different because you and Bella are twins yet he was able to take Bella away. Why didn't he take you aswell? I'd rather he took you then Bella." I spat out.

"Ethan!" Jack yelled. Blayke had just composed himself and stopped crying and now he just stared at me.
