If I Can't Have You- Lauren Cimorelli/You- Girl x Girl

After I finish telling Lisa where I live, she starts the car and Dani turns to look at me. She was sitting in the passenger seat and I was sitting behind Lisa.

"Okay spill the tea Y/N," Dani says. "What'd you and Lauren do?"

"We went out for breakfast," I reply.

Dani raises an eyebrow at me. "Really? That's all you did? You guys looked really comfortable when I walked into her room this morning."

"Wait, you saw us when we were sleeping? Not creepy at all, Dani."

She rolls her eyes at me. "I walked in thinking that Lauren was ready to head over to Christina's house and I found her cuddling with you so I decided not to wake you up. You're welcome, by the way."

"They were cuddling?" Lisa asks. "That's so cute."

"Can you guys stop?"

"Aw come on Y/N, you know we're only teasing you 'cause you and Laur are really cute together," Lisa says. "Once you guys both confess to each other you'll get together and Y/s/n will be real."

"Why would we both confess to each other?" I ask. "It's not like she actually likes me."

"Dude, have you not seen how she looks at you?" Dani asks. "Lauren definitely likes you."

"Trust me," Lisa says. She looks at me through the rearview mirror. "Lauren totally likes you. You should have heard her yesterday, she would not shut up about you. Thankfully, I managed to get her to admit her feelings before you woke up 'cause that would have been messy."

Lisa's eyes widen at her words and I stare at her in shock. Dani groans and smacks Lisa's shoulder. "You weren't supposed to tell her that part," she whispers harshly. "This is why no one ever tells you anything."

"You are incorrect I will have you know everyone tells me everything."

"Well obviously we should stop."

"She likes me?" I ask looking between Lisa and Dani. "She told you she likes me?"

"No I just meant like figuratively like-"

"Lisa, you suck at lying."

Lisa glares at me through the mirror and Dani sighs. "Just tell her the truth. It's not like she's gonna let us move on anyway."

"Ugh fine but if Lauren asks it was Dani who told you," Lisa says. "Last night, Lauren came into the living room freaking out so I sat with her and we talked about you. Long story short, she admitted that she has feelings for you and that she was blind for not realizing earlier."

"Why was she freaking out in the first place?"

"She heard you say you like her."

My eyes widen and I try to process the hundreds of thoughts and emotions running through my brain. Lauren actually likes me, obviously this wasn't the best way to find this out but I'm thankful for Lisa's slip up.

"So what're you gonna do now?" Dani turns back to me. "I mean you like her now you know she likes you, what's the move?"

"I'm gonna tell her I like her," I reply. "Even though she technically knows it doesn't count 'cause she wasn't supposed to hear that."

"No offense, but like what the rip were you even thinking?" Lisa asks. "Like 'let me whisper to my crush how much I like her while she sleeps 'cause that's totally not creepy at all.' Where you even thinking?"

"No I was quite distracted by the fact that Lauren was sleeping so close to me," I say. "Plus, you have no room to judge Miss 'my cats are my children and I sing them to sleep.'"

"That's different!"

Dani sighs loudly, and dramatically, as she turns to look out the window. "I give up. You guys can't have one serious conversation."

"No, no, no my dear Daniel, it's Lisa who can't have a normal conversation."

"You can't have a conversation where you don't mention Lauren," Lisa counters.

"Dani started the conversation so that doesn't count."

Lisa parks in front of my house and she turns to look at me. Dani also looks at me and I grow nervous under their stare. 

"Are we just gonna sit here staring at each other in silence? I love you guys and all but that's too awkward for me to handle ."

Lisa chuckles before saying,"No we're not gonna sit here staring at you in silence. I think I speak for both of us when I say that we support you and Lauren and you better confess to her soon or we will do it for you."

"Lisa literally made it super easy for you since now you know she likes you. I get that telling her is probably still scary but everything will work out. All you have to do is tell her how you feel and let everything happen," Dani says.

"Wow you guys are really good at hyping me up," I say. "Can have you around to give me pep talks all the time?"

"If things go according to plan then sure," Lisa replies.

"What plan?"

"The 'make Y/s/n real and make sure it lasts' plan."

"Is your love life so sad that you have to devote yourself to mine?"

"Is your love life so sad that you have to rely on your crush's sister to slip up and tell you she likes you so you can work up the confidence to tell her how you feel?"

"Okay I get it, I'll go home now."

"Good luck, Y/N. We have your back no matter what," Dani says.

I give her a grateful smile before getting out of Lisa's car. I turn to wave at them before making my way inside. I close the door with a sigh,  a smile making its way onto my face. I wasn't too sure what my plan for telling Lauren was going to be, all I knew is that it had to be soon. Like next time I see her soon.
