*Y/N's P.O.V*

The next few days fly by, barely giving me any time to talk to Lauren. That was both a blessing and a curse since it gave me time to evaluate what the heck was happening in my life and it gave me too much time to think which is never a good thing.

It seemed like my mind was stuck in an endless loop of the worst possible scenarios. And by worst possible scenarios I mean Lauren breaking up with me and all her sisters hating me and leaving me in the streets. Yeah, quite dramatic, I know.

However, today is already looking better since Lauren is actually next to me when my eyes open. Definitely the best way to wake up. I reach over and tuck a piece of hair behind her ear before kissing her cheek. I lean back and watch as a smile appears on her face before her eyes open.

"Morning, Laur," I say softly.

She hums in response before throwing her arm around me and resting her head on my chest. "Morning."

"You don't have anything to do today, right?" I ask. I technically already know the answer but still want to be reassured before I ask her on a date.

"The only thing on my to-do list is annoy Dani and spend the day with you," she replies.

"What do you say we go out today?" I suggest. "Just you, me, and a playlist of great songs."

"I'd love that." She looks up at me before kissing me. "But let me sleep for now."

She smiles cutely before resting her head back on my chest and closing her eyes. I kiss the top of her head before reaching for my phone. I see a text from Dani and roll my eyes. She's literally in the same house as me, can't she just come find me?

youngest rat 🙄💖: what'd you do?

you: why do you assume I did something?

youngest rat 🙄💖: 'cause I just heard her say your name like twice

you: Okay so I did something wait are you eavesdropping?

youngest rat 🙄💖: duh, it's one of my skills

youngest rat 🙄💖: I try not to do it to you and Laur 'cause I don't want to be permanently scarred

you: you're so dramatic, Dan 🙄 Do you need me to go downstairs or can you figure out what they're talking about without me?

youngest rat 🙄💖: uhhh you better come down here

I sigh before running a hand through my hair. It is way too early to have to deal with drama but oh well, I guess it's what we're doing. I slowly release myself from Lauren's grip and she pouts.

"Where are you going?" she mumbles, her eyes still closed.

"I'll be back soon, just gotta do something real quick."

She hums and I smile before walking out of the room. Sleepy Lauren was somehow more adorable than normal Lauren, something that shouldn't be possible.

I make my way to the living room where Dani and Christina are sitting. Christina pats the spot next to her and I take a seat.

"So, care to explain why my dad wants Lauren to get a fake boyfriend and why you agreed with his idea?" she asks.

"Wait you did what?" Dani exclaims.

I turn to the younger one, trying to not look as guilty as I feel. "Can you give us a moment? I promise I'll tell you everything once we're done."
