Chapter Eight: Ride home

Jennifer liftes her head and looks at me, "I down even know you," while laughing and wipping her tears. I grabbed her waist and sat her next to me, "Well, let get started," she looked at me with a confused face. I couldn't help but laugh. She smacks my arm," What?" With a hint of curiousity, "You know Jen, curiousity killed the cat," with a wink. She started to get flustured and wacked me in the arm again. I couldn't help but laugh.

I looked across the water to see the sun setting. I was going to say something but I jumped when I felt sparks everywhere, I noticed she had kissed the side my of neck, it aroused me but I remained calm for her. I look to see Jen giggling at me. I rap my armes around her perfect waist and kiss down her neck.

I keep kissing tell I feel a shiver. Her sweet spot. I chuckle when she shivered. I nibbled on it a bit, being presented with a small smack to my arm. I look at her with a grin. She wacked me up side the back of my head.

I was going to ask her a question when I felt someone mindlink me. I opened. Hmmm dad? 'Yes daddy poo?' I heard him growl, 'Quiet boy!' I winced at him shouting, 'Sorry dad,' he then spoke,'You need to come home. Now,' I growl, 'But I just found my mate?' I could now feel his Alpha tone, 'Get your ass home now!' I growled again, 'Yes Alpha,' he growled back and broke our mind link.

I woke up to being crazyly shookin by Jennifer, "What?" She took a sigh of relief, "You have been out for ten minutes," I looked at her in shock, "What?" She nodded her head, "I got freaked out when I felt your anger. Then you growled. I thought I said something wrong. Then I saw you were very focused," I nuzzled her closer, "I could never be mad at you," she kissed my cheek.

I whispered in her ear, "Skinny dipping sounds fun," her face became beat red. I couldn't help the laugh that bellowed out of me. She sat up and smacked my shoulder, "Now, What's your full name," I smiled and pulled her a little closer, "Xavier Adam Hackney. What about you beautiful," she blushed a little,"Jennifer Hailey Clearwater. Your turn," I took a second and thought of a smart question, "How old are you," she tilted her head a little, "Ninteen, you?" I smirked, "Twenty one. Your turn," she moved to sit beside me on the dock. I went to kiss her but she took a deep breath, "how many times have you had sex," I froze, she winced. Shit. I looked away from her. She spoke roughly, "Its okay," you could easly hear all the hurt in her voice. I looked at her and she had a blank face.

We were quiet for a while. After about five minutes, she spoke, "what you did in the past doesn't matter now. I didn't know you then but I do now," she gave me a soft smile.

Attempting to change the subject she cut me off, "I'm guilty of it too, so I don't have a place to be angry," not going to lie, it bothered me and it shouldn't have. Ever since I met her, I just want her all to myself. I looked at her to see that she was uncomfortable. I pulled her back into my lap and nuzzle myself to the side of her neck, she giggles, "You are very affectionate," as I began to think about it. She right, I have been. Its very strange to me, I typically not that kind of person. Does having a mate really change you that much?

Why couldn't Maria feel that for Jeremy. I looked back at the end of the dock to see Jeremy playing with Caleb. I could tell that this journey has been rough on him. Something tells me we are just getting started.

"Hey Jeremy, dad wants us to head back. Could you run Caleb home and start packing up?" He looked over at me with relief. I think for once he wants to go home. He picked up Caleb and disappeared in the distance.

I look over to Jennifer to see her watching the sun disappearing. The sky turned pink and purple, "I'm sorry this is all happening so fast," she was silent for some time, "I just don't know if I can go with you yet. I am supposed to be helping my dad, and I don't know how he's going to handle me leaving suddenly," she seemed conflicted and I didn't know how to help. She looks up and smiles at me, "I have a gut feeling its my time to leave now. That I'm ready to really begin my journey and I have you by my side," I kissed her softly.
