Chapter Sixteen: The Pack

I watch as Jennifer places her hand on Mias neck, she quietly made a small chant and as if instantly pain shot through Jennifer, I could smell blood, I was about to step to her side but she then mind linked me,'Whatever you do, don't move me, this might hurt you because of the bond but don't move me,' a low growl escaped me. As if on cue, pain shot through my neck, I couldn't scream, couldn't talk, could barley breath.

Riley is by my side as if I was his mate, "Xavier... Don't fight it... it will make the pain worse..." so I didn't fight it. There must have been a look of worry in my eyes cause he began to explain,"Shes bringing Mia back... shes only once ever brought anyone back and that's me..." I instantly fired with anger, Who dares kill my brother! Only I can kill my brother! Only me! I growled, it hurt my neck but I fought the pain, "Only I can kill you," he smile and looked as if he was about to cry and shook his head ,"That's over now little brother just rest," after about a good minute screaming began. We both shot up to see Mia screaming, Riley ran to her side and whispered words in her ear.

I looked at Jennifer, her nose was bleeding. After 5 minutes of Mia non stop screaming she finally stopped. Riley looked at Jennifer in fear, "Jennifer!" I instantly stood and all the pain left my neck. He shouted again, "Jennifer breath! Calm down! Jennifer it's over! It's ok! She's alive!" Jennifer's body began to shake. Riley picked her up bridal style and ran. Her being my mate, I followed. I'd never seen Riley run so fast. I suddenly heard howling. I looked over my shoulder to see dad and 6 wolves chasing us. I grew very angry.

As if he could, Riley ran faster. I looked forward to see a waterfall coming to view. When we reached the waterfall Riley jumped into the shallow end and held Jennifer on top of the water. Soon her shaking stopped. Relief flowed over me.

Riley was washings Jennifer's nose when she opened her eyes and spoke softly, "It happened again?" He nodded his head, "It's ok, I got you," My possessiveness almost took over but I knew he was just worried for a girl who's like his little sister. Jennifer sighed, "Where's Xavier," I then spoke up, "Don't worry, I'm right here," moving to Riley's side. She looked at me with regret and guilt, "I felt your pain," her eyes were watering, "I am so sorry," I shook my head, "Jennifer you saved a girls life, it's okay. I'll go get you guys a towel," they both nodded.

As I'm climbing out of the water I'm tackled to the ground and I roar a growl. I looked up to see 2 warrior's holding me down. I growled. They looked scared and wanted to move but couldnt. The only thing I could think of was an Alpha comand.

I then heard a menacing growl, I turned my head to see my father blood lust. Riley was held down by the other wolves and Jennifer was laying on the ground... to weak to move...

I nearly lost it when my father set his eyes on my weak mate. Both me and Riley growling as loud as we could manage. But it didn't faze him. Riley then shouted, "Touch her and I'll end your pathetic life!" Dad snapped towards him but looked back at Jennifer. I looked at the warrior's above me in panich. One mind linked me, 'I am so sorry Alpha...' I looked at my father, "How can you be such a trader," he kept walking and that's when Riley spoke, "Trader? Your just realizing?" With confusion on his face and I did the same back, "Xavier... I told you I died... did it ever occur to you who did it?..." dad had froze. I felt so weak, "What...." Riley sighed, "When dad killed Jackson... he killed me... if it weren't for me knowing Jennifer, I wouldn't be here," My body went cold.

Riley looked at dad, "You never told him? Did you think he'd turn on you? I would if it were him," dad growled and continued to walk to Jennifer, I then shout, "Jennifer run!" Riley sighed, "She cant..." I then went frantic, I thrashed around trying to throw the warrior's off but another came and held me down. All of my warrior's looked so worried. I wouldn't hold this against them... they had no choice...

I looked to see my dad about to rap his jaws around Jennifer's neck, my heart stopped. I blinked and dad was tackled. I looked around to see the rouge... standing over Jennifer.. Snarling at my dad.

Dad was about to pounce on him when he was tackled again by a weretiger. I looked closer to see Nicolas. Relief washed over me like a bullet.

Dad had a flash of fear but covered it fast. He shouted, "Move cat..." Nicolas roared, "Over my dead body!" Then they clashed.

They were tearing into each other like animals. Small pieces of skin began to fall both my father's and Nic's..

I looked at Jennifer to see her trying to move. I snap towards the battle when I hear a pained filled roar. Some how my dad managed to get Nic down. Dad then was going for the kill shot when the rouge ripped him off and Nic was back up but wobbly, he wouldn't last.. fear came right back like burning skin... am I losing my mate today?

Nic went to tackle my father but my dad threw him off and ran at Jennifer. The rouge just stood, when dad was in his range, he ducked down tell dad was on top of him, he shot his jaws up and bit into dad's stomach. Dad howled in pain, snapped his jaws around the rouges rib cage, when hearing broken bones and dad threw him into a tree. Guilt washed over me.

I looked to see Jennifer as her wolf and pissed. They then clashed. I looked at Riley to see him smiling at Jennifer. I looked back to see Jennifer just ripping dad apart, she clenched her jaws on dad's ribs and many cracks were heard. Dad was now moving around the ground in pain. Power serge through me and I shouted, "GET OFF ME!" Using full Alpha tone, instantly the warrior's moved and I was up and jumping on my dad and snarled, "Your life is not mine to take!" I looked over to my brother, "RELEASE HIM!" they instantly jumped off in relief. Riley looked at me and I looked back, "This.. is your kill," Riley didn't even hesitate, he moved so quick, and ripped dad's throat out. I felt the Alpha power go to him. I'm jealous but he diserves it.

Jennifer was her human taking care of the rouge. I sighed when she put her hands on his ribs and she used her powers again. His pained cried soon disppeared and we're replaced with relief.

Jennifer spoke loudly, "I claim you as my own," Everyone froze and turned to her, even the rouge was in shock but jumped into hugging her. I smiled and spoke, "Welcome to the family," he looked at me with fear but gratitude.

Riley spoke up, "Do you wish to be Alpha?" I turned to him a shook my head and held a hand out, "I'm looking for partnership," he instantly smile and grabbed my head, "I Alpha Riley Hackney of Pack Blood Fang claim a share position with Xavier Hackney! Do you except?" I smiled crossed my face, "I Xavier Hackney except your request as shared Alpha!" We pulled into a hug as if all those years never existed. Cheering was heard all over. We looked around to see everyone bowing.

I looked to my beautiful and amazing mate smiling at me with pride and proud glints in her eyes. I was about to run in her arms when her face went blank then angry. It was first meeting her all over again. I turn around to see Ashley. I was about to charge when Jennifer beat me to it. She was her wolf a shot a fire ball at Ashley, hiting her face and Ashley took off with Jennifer hot on her trail. The last I saw of my mate was the tips of her tail as she met the tree line and a pain howl was heard...
