Chapter Thirteen: Cowboy

Jennifer's P.O.V

Jeremy, Nicolas and I are on are way to the pack house when I get a burning and nauseous feeling. I hear screaming and yelling in the background but all I can focus of was the voice in my head. The voice I havnt heard since mom stole my first boyfriend. My animal, "Mate!" He scream, yes it's a boy, his names Charles. I shake my head,"Mate?" He growls, "Hes in a panic. And he's not calming down. He's feeling pain!" I slammed on my brakes. More commotion. I toss Jeremy the keys get out of the car and shift.

I ran as fast as I could home. I didn't stop for anything. Since not many people knew of my tiger form I had many wolves snapping at me when I was crossing into our land. I roared as loud as I could, they started to bad off. I see the house in view and I push myself faster.

I see Xavier's dad at the door of the house looking at me confused. Once he realized I wasn't slowing down, he moved out of the way of the door. I roared as I past him. I sence him following me but had no interest in looking. I needed to find my mate. I followed his god like scent to his room which happened to be on the third floor. I don't remember going up the stairs but I was now barging into his room to find him freaking out in his bed.

I shift and put some cloths on, I looked at him confused, what could happen that he would act this way. As if on cue Charles spoke up again, "He's seeing the future," I caught my breath.

Once I sence his dad walk into the room he shouted, "What is wrong with my son!" I shook my head, earning a growl from Xavier's dad.

Ignoring his growl, I walked to the bed and touched his arm, his body tensed up. I sat down and pulled him to my lap, I gently moved the hair out of his face and cooed to calm him down.

He was starting to calm down when he freaked and my heart stabbed in pain. But it wasn't my pain. It was his. I start shaking him ,"Xavier! Wake up now! Xavier it's a dream! I need you to wake up!" I look around to realize everyone was in the room. Do to my mate in pain I growled. I earned one from a few people which caused me to roar and they took a step back. I continued to growl tell I felt the slightest movement from my mate.

I instantly stopped growling and look at my mate, "Xavier.. " his eyes slowly opened. He looked around the room tell his eyes landed on me he then closes his eyes, I hold him close and rock him.

He moved so quick that ever thing was a blurr. Once I focused I was now in his lap and he was growling at everyone. They did a smart thing and took a step back I spoke quietly, "Xavier calm down," he looked down at me and held me closer to him. It felt so good being so close to him, I wanted closer, wait, no! Bad Jennifer! I then hear Charles snicker.

I nearly jump out of my thoughts when Xavier shouts to Jeremy, "Find Ashley! Now!" Jeremy dissppeared down the hall. Xavier's dad stepped closer, which quite frankly I thought was stupid, Xavier was in protective mode. I felt him tense up when his dad walked closer, "Son... what's wrong..". Xavier then started shaking his head, "My wolf said I had a vision," I leaned my head on his shoulder, he relaxed a little. Just then Jeremy came flying in the room shouting, "I can't find her! She's gone!" I have never heard a growl so loud that nearly I submitted to, " Double the warrior's! Find her! Now!" Everyone then dissppeared, just as I'm about to get up and leave, I look up at Xavier and nearly get lost in his beautiful brown eyes.

I jumped when he smashed his lips to mine, I couldn't hold back the erg and kissed him back. He pulled back and put his forehead to mine, "I'll never leave you, I promise," I was then over welmed with fear. What did he mean by that?

He laughed a little, "Who's Nicolas?" My eyes got wide when he mentioned Nic. I got nervous, "He's a friend of mine, he's a weretiger... I was hoping he could join our pack," Xavier looked deep in thought. But eventually he nodded. I smiled shyly.
