Chapter Twelve: Out Smarted

I run down the hall way and see my dad heading towards the door, "Dad!" He looks at me and immediately smiles, "She marked yo.....why arnt you wearing any pants son?" I shook my head, "Long story we have another new pack member, his names Nicolas, he's a were tiger," dad growled, "He's friends with Jennifer," he just smile again.

He then went serious," There's not a lot, but enough to start a battle," I shifted were I stood and so did dad. As wolves we were exactly the same, except I'm taller and he's pure black. Any who, we jumped out the door and went after a group of rogues after females with pups. Once they saw me and my dad they took off, but we followed close behind.

Left and right dad and I were tearing them apart. We were half way threw the battle when I hear roars from across the feild. I look to see Jennifer's tiger and another weretiger next to her, he had the body of a leopard but the size of Jennifer. His fur was all gray and no spots, he's muzzle, feet, tip of ears and tail were black. He was pretty bad ass looking and he had Saber teeth like Jennifer but his were bigger, suprizingly.

I watched as to how well they worked as a team. All of the rogues were scared shitless, I look around and saw Ashley staring at them in horror with a mix of anger. I charged at her. Once she noticed me she bolted. I was hot on her tail though. I nipped at her back leg and was presented with a whimper. I bit onto her tail, with a loud whin from her and yanked her by her tail into a tree, hearing three cracks. I slowly start to walk to my prey.

You could smell all her fear. She was submitting but I was going to end her. I was about to rip her throat out when I hear my dad howl a battle cry, signaling that this would possibly be his last fight.

I bite her neck but not killing her and went for my father. She probably thought I left her off with a warning, but she's mistaken a gift only alphas know, I put a tracker on her. Only alpha know and only alphas can do it. It's so a we can hunt them down later without a sweat.

As I see my father, he's got 5 rogues on his back and 8 other snapping at his legs, trying to get him to fall. Rogues are now starting to pile in front of me and it's getting harder and harder to get to my father. I look to see my father fall. Just when they go to rip his throat out, I see a fire ball get thrown at them. I look to see my mate as her wolf covered in fire, running to my father's aid while shooting fire balls and Nicolas hot on her tail killing all the rogues around them.

I can tell I'm the only on to see her wolf figure behind her fire and I instantly mind link her, 'Whatever you do, don't put out the fire around you,' she mind links me,' get are people out of here now,' I howled to the sky and my pack drew back quickly. I look back to see Jennifer had nocked the rogues of my dad and stood over him and had a deathly glare only I could see she links me,' It won't hurt you, but your going to get a little hot,' my dad had fear clouding his face of the fire ball above him, as I'm still trying to understand what she ment, seconds later, all the fire around her bursted out like a wave of fire, going out 50ft, killing all the rogues in the distance.

I suddenly felt really hot as the fire went around me, like I was in a microwave. I was sweating like a pig, scratch that, dog, and shifted to my human. Panting like a mad man I looked around and saw my prey in the fire. I was about to smile when she jumped out of the fire and ran.

I look back at my mate and start to move towards her. Knowing she needs me to calm her down. The fire went around me like before. I walked up to her large figure. I saw my dad looking at me in shock. I places a hand on her chest and like before it instantly dissppeared. I look around to see none of the forest on fire, "Impressive babe," I look up to see her beautiful enormous gold wolf staring down. I look down to see my dad with a socked and fearful expression.

Jennifer stepped off over my dad and sat down and sighed, I knew she hated explaining. Dad was now his human form looking at me," Shes.. a gold wolf..." then to Jennifer I nodded. He spoke even quieter," and you.. didn't tell me.... you hid it... that's why she's a weretiger...." Jennifer's wolf nodded. I sighed and dad looked at me. I sat down. In the grass and explained everything to dad. Jennifer had shifted and grabbed us clothes. She now sitting in my lap and listening as I told my dad everything. After a long silence he spoke, "I understand now. And you can trust me. I'll make a cover up story for you. Thank you for saving mine and my son's life," she smiled and nodded.

As we are getting up to leave dad says," So a gold wolf huh? Always wanted to meet one," just after he said that we heard a gasp, turned to see a half burnt Ashley. I growled. She's going to be a big pain in my ass. I shifted and took off after her. She shifted and ran as fast as she could. I was about to hit hurt when I got slammed in the side and hit a tree. I look up to see none other than Riley.. My brother. I look around and she's gone. I get up and growl at Riley but he roles his eyes, "I saved your life, now shut up," I shifted and looked at him confused, "What do you mean," he then sighs, "She was leading you to a trap," I shook my head ," I must kill her," he sighed again, "I got your dream too. Trust me I know. Why do you think I'm here?" I looked at him shocked, "What do you mean you had the dream too?" Just as I see Jennifer running are way with Nicolas behind her.
