Chapter 25: And Fell down in Shock

All I remember is I see my mate covered in blood on the ground as I thrash at her attacker in rage. I knew he was stronger than me, you could tell by the feel of his power.
As Michael and I went back to back with attacks, I felt him getting the upper hand when Riley came slamming into Michael, nocking him over and we attacked with force. At first we had the upper hand, but we slowly realized.... we never had the upper hand in the first place.
Michael managed to kick Riley into a tree nocking the wind out of him, and my already liquid anger began to seep into ever part of my body. I gripped my jaws around his neck in a death grip to be easy kicked off. He dug his fangs into my shoulder and ripped off fur, I howled in pain but coninuted to fight for my mate.
I limp over at my mate, slamming to the ground next to her to see her eyes drooping, I shouted in our mindlink, "God damnit you! Don't give up one me! Get your ass up!" I shouted to her as I felt my life begin to slip.. I see Jennifer looking over my shoulder, I look back to see Riley, Nic and Gabe attacking Michael.
I look back to my mate, she began to snarl with death laced in it, sending shivers up my spine, she flared her fangs making her look more fearsome and and she roared a growl sounding like her tiger. I froze as my mate stood up and began to shift forms, but not to her tiger... to a much bigger and frightening form.... she had the body and front paws of her tiger, the head, tail and back paws of her wolf, her fur... she had her gold, but her strips of the color of blood red, as she was standing up, which was more bad ass. I felt power racing threw me as she limped over to my weak body, "You better not give up on me either Hackney," I couldn't help but sigh, she need to be safe.... she needs to leave, "Jennifer.... You need.... to run...." I choked out, not even managing through our mindlink. She began to growl down at me, "GET up now," she shouted, causing me to jump. She began to whimper, making me crave comforting her,"I need you," I heard a twig snapped and I roughly lift my head slightly to look over my shoulder and to see Michael growling, and dripping blood, "You did this!" Jennifer snarled but... she didn't sound like Jennifer. She then looked another direction, causing me to turn in pain to see who, she was looking at a small rusty brown wolf, "You did this!" Fear appeared all over her face, "You will pay... with your life!" I watched as Jennifer took off towards the wolf. I look over to see Michael covered in fear. He looked over to me, and began to charge at me. I tried to lift my body but I felt so weak.
I looked back up to just barley see his fangs clamp onto my neck and he began to drag me to the edge of the woods when my vision went blurry and all I see is black......
*Jennifer's P.O.V
I charged at the demon and began to rip into her, ripping her limb from limb, she howled in pain and begged help from her demons, but they just watched in fear as I began to dig my claws into her face, strange thing was, it was my tiger paw. I look back to see Michael dragging Xavier away and fire fills my eyes, I ordered all my men to charge. Come crashing out of the trees behind me was my army Xavier so kindly brought, did he really think I wouldn't sense my own pack? As we charge towards Michael, the demons had jumped into the way, slowing us down terribly.
I'm here ripping and clawing my way threw the damn demons! I looked over my shoulder and saw nothing. I began to go frantic. I roared as loud of I could, strangly.... it was a mix of my wolf and my tiger, it sounded horribly scary. Everyone parted like the red sea as I lit up in flames, tearing down into the trees to find everything gone.. no smell, no tracks.... no signs of activity... like nothing has been here in forever. I couldn't sense whether or not my mate was alive... my body began to shake, as I felt my form changing to my tiny human.
I shrug to the ground and began to cry..... ,"Xavier..... I just got you.... I can't lose you.... Please come back to me...."
