So this will be a little different than my regular oneshots, so let me know if you like it please!! I was just listening to all of my music while writing this, but my playlisted started on Perfect Day by Gabbie Hanna.(you can find her on YouTube)

(Also, this is completely UNRELATED to the original plot of the story. It is completely different, everyone is alive, and I'm basing it off of season 3 of the show.)

Iris's POV

I need to talk to Barry. He hasn't left the cortex all day, and I'm beginning to worry about him. I had run to Big Belly Burger and picked him up a few burgers before heading to the labs.

Barry isn't usually one to stress a lot, but finding out that I die soon really threw us all for a loop. I mean, I'm terrified, but Barry seems like he wouldn't be able to live with himself if he can't stop Savitar from killing me.

And I hate this broken version of the once happy Barry I grew up with.

Caitlin's POV

Barry is still sitting at the computer. He has been like this since 5:00pm.

It's 9:34 now.

"Barry?" I ask.

Barry jumps and mutters to himself a little before lowering himself back into his chair.

"Barry, you've been here for 4 and a half hours. Don't you want to go home?" I ask again.

He doesn't look up as he shakes his head "no".

I sigh and walk over to where he has been sitting.

"Barry, I really think that you need to go home."

"No!" Barry shouts.

I step back, suprised at his sudden outburst.

"No, I'm okay. Sorry," he mutters.

I pull up a chair and sit next to him. "Barry, you aren't really in the right state of mind to be working for so long. Will you at least take a break? We could go to Jitters or something," I ask.

"I just-" Barry starts. He shakes his head and covers his face with his hands.

"What? You can talk to me, it's okay!" I say as I pat his shoulder.

He looks at me, then stares at some spot on a distant wall as he responds. "I can't let her die, Caitlin. I've know her for too long. If I let her die without doing everything I possibly can, I don't think I would be able to live anymore."

"Barry, if you're tired, hungry, and not thinking clearly, we both know that you aren't doing everything you can. So please, take a break. It will help everyone." I say.

He looks at me with sad, broken eyes and then lets out a shaky breath.

"Okay." he whispers.

I nod and he adds, "Caitlin, if something does happen, I just want you to know one thing."

"Yeah?"

He doesn't say anything.

He leans in and kisses me.
