Amelia's P.O.V
I don't know what happened with Draco the other day, I have no idea what them sparks were, but I know we both felt them. I haven't told anyone yet, I'm just too confused as to what exactly went on, I may tell Hermione though. But anyway, school starts today, and it's potions first and DADA second, how do you think Snape will react to seeing me again? He only knows that I was taken from my cell back at the mansion, he has no idea I'm here.

After Hermione had (literally) dragged me out of bed and got me to get dressed, we skipped down to breakfast, the boys following us. Yes I said skipped, what? It's fun. Once we had finally eaten breakfast Hermione began dragging me down the winding corridors of Hogwarts to get us to Potions early, I don't know why she wanted to go early, I guess she was rather eager to learn, and not be late for the first lesson of the year. Hermione kept a death grip on my hand as she pulled me through the crowded hallway down in the dungeons, which were bundled tightly with students who were trying to barge through to get to their lessons. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Harry and Ron stood up on a bench, laughing at those who were getting squished or were falling over. We soon reached a large classroom which was jam packed with wooden tables covered in cauldrons on top of these stove-like things, then next to each one was plenty of small glass vials, stirring rods and little pots and metal plates. Then the front desk was laden was bubbling cauldrons, steaming bottles and fizzing glasses, all were filled with some sort of extraordinary colored potion which was creating a strange yet sweet smelling aroma in the stuffy room. Professor Slughorn greeted us both as he hurried into the classroom, getting ready for the other students to arrive shortly, Hermione and I were the only ones here. Both of us stood about a meter behind the front desk as about 20-30 Gryffindor's and Slytherin's tumbled inside at about half past eight, Hermione and I had arrived at 8:20. Everyone else huddled around where we were standing, all of us holding out advanced potions book tightly as we waited for the teacher to speak.

"Good morning class, now today I have prepared a variety of potions to show you, the first one you see is a freezing potion, when you pour it on an object, it instantly freezes, but if you get it wrong, it would be fatal." Slughorn started then Harry and Ron trotted inside.

"Ah Harry, my boy, I was starting to worry, and you've brought Weabley with you too." The professor said and I heard Ron mutter "Weasley" under his breath.

"I'm absolutely useless at potions, a menace really, so I'll just leave." Ron tried to leave but Slughorn wouldn't let him.

"Nonsense! Any friend of Harry's is a friend of mine. Now if you could get your books out, then you can join in on our lesson." He told them kindly and Harry shifted his feet strangely.

"I'm sorry, sir, but neither me nor Ron have our books yet." Harry explained and Slughorn waved it off.

"No need to fret, collect what you need from the cupboard. Now as I was saying, I have told you about the first potion, can you guess what any of the rest are?" The teacher turned back to us and Hermione immediately raised her hand.

"Yes Miss...?"
"Granger sir. This one is Veritaserum, which is a truth potion. Then that one is Polyjuice Potion, which allows you to take the form of another. Then the next one is Amortentia, the strongest love potion in the world. They say it smells different to each person as to what attracts them. For instance, I smell, freshly mown grass, new parchment and spearmint toothpaste." Hermione answered, pointing to each potion as she explained them, in the corner I saw Harry and Ron fighting over one of the potion books, Harry ending up having the old, mangled one, hitting Ron with it as they passed.

"Of couse Amortentia doesn't make actual love, as it is impossible to do such a thing. But it does create an obsession or an infatuation. Because of this, it is probably the most dangerous potion in this room." Slughorn carried on from what Hermione said, closing the lid of the cauldron as Katie Bell, Lavender Brown, Pansy Parkinson and many others stepped towards the potion.
