Amelia's P.O.V
Ever since Ron got out of the hospital, Lavender's been a bit... put out. She's been staring at Ron and Hermione while stabbing things with a fork, how charming. But Harry's been getting more and more suspicious of Draco, whose been acting quite strange recently, he's been running away everytime he see's Harry, he looks like he hasn't been sleeping, it's really worrying me. When I try to talk to him about it he always changes the conversation so I don't notice, I wonder what's going on with him. Harry and I have been trying to get that memory off of Slughorn but nothing seems to be working, it turns out he can keep it a secret for longer than I thought. Dumbledore must need the memory soon as he keeps reminding us, but we're trying, we really are.
"So how did I break up with Lavender again?" Ron asked when we sat down at the Gryffindor table for breakfast.
"She came to visit you in the hospital, and you kind of... talked. I don't believe is was a particularly long conversation..." Hermione explained, trailing off at the end.
"Don't get me wrong, I'm relieved to be rid of her but she seems a bit, off." Ron observed and we turned to Lavender again, who was still glaring with sharp objects in her hands... maybe someone should take those off her.
"She does a bit." I agreed, nodding as we turned back to each other.
"So you don't remember a thing from that night?" Hermione asked nervously.
"There is one thing... But I was completely boggled wasn't I?" Ron breathed a meek laugh, as did Hermione.
"Yeah, boggled..." She said and went quiet. Everything was silent for a few minutes until we saw Katie Bell pass us behind Harry, who was too into his book to even notice.
"Harry." Hermione whispered. "It's Katie Bell." Harry quickly stood from his seat and rushed over to her, taking his book with him. The three of us watched as he questioned Katie about who cursed her, but I doubt she knows, who would? Harry turned around sharply on the spot when he noticed someone had come in the Great Hall. It was Draco, he looked like he hadn't slept in days, he had bags under his eyes, he was paler than ever and he looked panicked once he saw that Harry was looking at him. He turned around and quickly left the hall without a single word. Harry looked at him oddly before following him out after a few moments, so I decided I would find them in a minute, because Harry might not be following Draco... right?
"What do you think they're doing?" I asked Ron and Hermione worriedly.
"I don't know, probably just throwing insults at each other, nothing out of the ordinary." Ron reasured me but I was still uneasy about it.
"Maybe I shouls see what they're up to, just in case." I suggested getting up from my seat. I said goodbye to the two and walked out of the Great Hall, trying to find either Harry or Draco. I searched around the area I saw them in, but I had no such luck in finding them. Just before I was about to give up I heard some commotion coming from the boys bathrooms, so me being the curious person that I am went over there. I swung the door open to see the floor covered in water from the broken taps and Harry standing there guiltily, but what horrified me the most was Draco's form laying on the ground in a very scary pool of blood, he had several slashes across his chest and was whimpering in pain. I looked at Harry wide-eyed and terrified (A/N: Rhyming is fun!) before dashing over to Draco, kneeling down beside him. I put his head on my lap and stroked his cheek, whispering soothing words to him. My eyes had welled up in tears so much I couldn't see a thing until they spilled over, running freely down my cheeks. I pleaded Harry to go and get help but he just stood there, frozen in shock, staring at what he just did. I pressed my hand down on one of his wounds in hope it would stop bleeding, but all I got was a hand covered in blood. My clothes were soaked in tap water, my hands were shaking and tears stained my cheeks, what did Harry do to him? But Harry didn't need to go and get help, as Snape barged in minutes after, he looked down at Draco and cast a furious glance at Harry. Snape didn't ask me to move away from him, but he bent down next to him and whispered healing spells to cure his cuts. I can't believe Harry would do that! It hurts me to see Draco hurting. That couldn't have been done by accident, I can't have.
Madam Pomfrey wouldn't let me stay in the Hospital Wing with him, she made me leave in the evening so I could sleep, but I'm doing no such thing, not when Draco is like this. I'm not planning on sleeping, I'm going to find Harry, find out what the hell was circulating in that brain of his. I strolled inside the common room, my fists clenched and my nails digging into the palm of my hands, probably drawing blood. I was angry at him, but it was more sadness because of Draco being injured. I knocked loudly at his bedroom door, making sure he would hear it. I tapped my foot impatiently until the door was opened, by Harry who still looked very guilty.
"What the hell, Harry?" I asked, my hands on my hips.
"I'm really sorry, I didn't know what that spell would do!" He defended himself, but that only made it worse.
"Your sorry? How is that going to help Draco? And if you didn't know what the spell would do, why did you use it? Because that could have ended up a lot worse than it did. What if it... what if it..." I couldn't finish the rest of the sentence, but Harry knew what I meant.
"Is he alright?" Harry asked like he really meant it.
"He's fine, just needs to stay over night then he's free tomorrow." I explained quietly and he pulled me into a hug.
"I am so sorry, I never meant for it to do that. If I knew what it did I would never have used that spell." Harry told me and I nodded.
"You found that spell from the book didn't you?" I asked and he nodded sadly.
"You need to get rid of it, before more damage is done." I advised him before heading up to bed.
