Amelia's P.O.V
So far, Voldemort has forces his army to retreat for Harry and I to give ourselves in. Otherwise he'll kill everyone that tries to protect us, so I have no idea what to do. My mind is just blank right now, which I didn't think it would've been. I didn't really expect to be this calm either, so this day is just full of surprises. But what's really on my mind is what's in that memory Snape gave us, it was obviously important otherwise he wouldn't of given it to us, but we'll find out soon enough. We just need to get to Dumbledore's office, and tip that memory into the pensieve. Harry and I haved used that thing so many times when we were last here at school, to try and get that memory of Tom Riddle off him. I remember when that seemed difficult, but when I look back, it seems very easy compared to this. I just hope that no-one I know is hurt, and if they are, I will kill whoever did it to them. There's so much going on in my mind right now, and it's hard to figure whether what we're doing is right or wrong. Everything is so confusing at the moment, I know to you it may seem fairly simple, but it isn't to me. Or Harry, I can tell, he has no idea what to do either. I'm surprised my head hasn't exploded, which would partly be because of Voldemort searching through my brain, which was starting to irritate me. Hogwarts, one of the two places I called home, destroyed, broken to pieces, torn apart. It saddened me to see it like this, but Hogwarts is a strong fort that concealed us well. And she will continue to help us too.
After we had heard that spooky speech from Voldemort, all four of us headed back up to the Great Hall, questioning the emptiness of the place as we went. It took just fifteen minutes to return back through the castle, but we fortunately didn't run this time, just walked at a medium pace. Hermione reached out and shoved the heavy wooden doors open, making them clack against the wall. I hadn't talked for nearly the whole of the journey, I just kept silent, thoughts and possibilities racing through my mind. I pushed my hair out of my face and lifted my head up, my eyes scanning the new scene that lay before me. Hogwarts students, teachers, Order members, Parents and other people were bunched up in the crouded room. On the floor were several camp beds scattered around, where the dead and eternally injured lay. Ron was the first inside, his head darting around as he searched for his family while he rushed. Hermione was hot on his heels, leaving Harry and I at the entrance for another few seconds. We took slow steps inside, just looking at everything in our sight range. I grabbed hold of the sleeves of my jumper with my nails and pulled it roughly up so I covered half of my hands. The current potions professor, Horace Slughorn greeted us by just speaking our names, then continued healing a gaping wound on Filch's arm. My gaze then set on Padma Patil and Professor Trelawney, covering Parvarti with a white sheet, proclaiming her dead. I swallowed hard and turned away, my eyes resting on the family of redheads I loved so much, circeld around a bed, each and every one of them crying. And what scared me... Fred wasn't with them.
I charged over to them, stopping dead in my tracks between Mrs Weasley and George. My eyes widened when I saw who was laying still on the canvas. Fred. His skin was as white as snow, his eyes glassy and unseeing, his limbs limp by his side. Tears shot into my eyes and I clenched my teeth, choking them back. I immediately turned to my right and threw my arms around George's neck, letting the salty liquid spill down my cheeks. He gripped my waist tightly and I felt his tears drip onto my shoulder.
"What happened?" I whispered so quietly only George could hear me. He was still sobbing uncontrollably on my shoulder and I just held him there, tears also sliding quickly from my eyes.
"Rookwood killed him, Percy was there." He replied in the same tone.I kissed his cheek and tucked my chin onto his shoulder. We let go of each other and I felt anger grow within me, I was going to kill Rookwook. But then I was brought into the familiar bone crushing hig that was oviously from Mrs Weasley.
