Amelia's P.O.V
So going to Godric's Hollow failed miserably. Well, we did learn one thing, never follow creepy people who stare at you in a graveyard, because they turn out to be evil snakes that will try to kill you. So I'll keep that in mind. Anyway, I don't know what happened after I passed out, so in unconcious state I wonder whether Harry and Hermione are okay, or if they've suffered a snake bite, the same as I did. But I seriously want to kick that snake in the face (yes, I'm very violent towards creatures that try to murder me and my friends) because that bite really hurt! Man, that thing had sharp teeth! I've known that thing all my life, yes, I've hated it since I was very little, but never had it bitten me. It attempted to though, it hissed everytime I went near it, whenever it tried to sink it's teeth into me it suddenly stopped and slithered away. Maybe Voldemort told it to not harm me, hmm. I had done some research on Bathilda Bagshot in one of her books, and none of them said that she could speak parstletongue, so I began thinking something wasn't right about her from that point. Hermione was right, we shouldn't have gone there, but you can't change the past, can you? Well, that is if you don't have a time turner, which Hermione apparently had in her third year. But if you could change the past, none of this bad stuff would've happened, we'd just have a normal life. We wouldn't be the number one most wanted in the Wizard World, no-one would be out to get us and we wouldn't be threatened by death everyday. To be honest, I don't really care what happens to me, just as long as everyone I love is safe, I'm happy.
My eyes fluttered open and I was met by a searing pain pounding in my leg, making me groan quietly. I sat up slowly, wincing everytime my foot moved and looked around, I was back in the tent, back in my warm, comfy bed, which was no longer in a bunk with Hermione's, it was on the floor next to her's. I threw my blankets off my and shivered from the sharp coldness that hit me as I did. I noticed that my clothes had been changed, I was now wearing a pair of black sweats with a simple red shirt on and a jumper. My foot, ankle and part of my leg was all wrapped up in layers and layers of bandages and my leg was supported with a few pillows either side and underneath it. I scooched to my left so I would have enough room to get my legs over the side of the bed. I carefully swung my legs over and placed my un-injured one on the floor. I pushed myself off the bed and wobbled a bit so I held onto the pole that kept the tent up. I then lowered my bandaged foot onto the ground and attempted to take one step, as I put my weight on my foot pain pulsed through it making me yelp. I was limping very badly, but I was able to walk about five meters to the entrance of the tent. I pushed the fabric door out of the way and put it behind me, so I was stood in the doorway. Sat down at the trunk of a tree were Harry and Hermione, who looked over when they heard me. I noticed it was rather dark out, must've been early evening, how long was I asleep?
"No, no, Amy. Don't walk, it'll make it worse." Harry scolded gently, running over to me and putting his arm around me, so he was taking most of my weight so I mumbled a 'sorry'.
"How're you feeling?" Hermione asked, concern lacing her voice.
"I feel like someone just ripped my foot off." I groaned again, hiding my face in Harry's neck.
"It would, the wound is quite deep." She stated, nodding to my ankle.
"I've always hated that overgrown worm." I mumbled angrily, wincing when my foot moved too much. Harry chuckled at me and shook him his head.
"How long was I out?" I asked after a while, shuflling my good foot a little.
"Two days, we thought it would've been longer. You sleep like the dead." Harry said with a grin so I mimiked him in a high voice.
"Someone's not in a good mood." Hermione observed, laughing at me.
"You don't say." I said sarcastically, picking my head up.
"Come on, let's get you back inside where it's warm." Harry told me, picking me up and carrying me back into the tent so I didn't have to walk. He placed me on the sofa and gently picked my injured foot up on the table, it did hurt but I didn't show it. Hermione then entered the tent, sending Harry an apologetic look but he waved it off. I would question it on any other occasion but I was in too much pain to be bothered.
"I'll go out and keep watch. Hermione, take care of Amy, if anything happens just call me in, okay?" Harry ordered in a nicer way before kissing my forehead, being careful of my extended leg. He then took Hermione's wand from her hand and walked quickly out into the cold, sitting back at that tree.
"What was that about?" I croaked, laying my head back on a pillow.
"When we were leaving Godric's Hollow I used Harry's wand to cast a curse but it rebounded and snapped it." Hermione explained, suddenly becoming very interested in her shoes. I nodded in understanding and pulled my shiny, brown wand from my pocket.
"Here, you can use mine, I won't need it for a while." I smiled which she returned sheepishly.
"I couldn't, not after what I did to Harry's..." She trailed off and I sighed, not having much patience that day.
"Just take it, if Harry has your's then you need one. I don't have any use for it at the moment. Actually, I'm not giving you a choice, you're taking it." I said, enclosing it in her hand.
"Thanks." She said gingerly, finally looking up.
"Don't mention it, so fill me in on what happened after I passed out." I said with a wave of the hand in the first sentence.
"Well, we managed to blow the snake out the window before it could do anymore damage. Then we had to apparate here -the Forest of Dean- with you. By the time we got back that bite was really bleeding, it's surprising how deep it was, but we managed to heal some of it but the rest will have to heal on it's own, which will take a couple of weeks. Like R-Ron's did." She stuttered at the mention of Ron's name. I looked at her sympathetically and wrapped my arm around her shoulders comfortingly.
"Hey, Ron's an idiot, we all know that. If it will make you feel any better I'll throw something at him next time I see him- I would kick him but that's kind of impossible now." I grinned as she laughed lightly at my statement.
"I'd love to see that." She giggled and I smiled at her, moving my leg slightly so I was more comfortable. The two of us chatted for a while until Hermione suggested that I lay down and try to get some sleep. After a failed attempt at walking over to my bed I lowered myself back onto the sofa and settled myself there. I grabbed a blanket from underneath the table and covered my freezing body with it, the inviting, soft material warming my skin within minutes. I closed my eyes and let out one single breath before I began to drift off into sleep. Unfortunatly a voice calling both mine and Hermione's name interupted me. I grumbled under my breath and sat up, rubbing my eyes.
"Amy? Hermione?" Harry's loud voice echoed through the tent. Hermione got up from her bed quickly and half ran, half walked outside, leaving me to hobble on my own.
"Is everything alright?" Hermione asked worriedly as I limped to the tent entrance.
"Everything's good, well, more than good." Harry answered, stepping to one side revealing... Ron?
"Hey." Ron said happily to Hermione who just sharply glared at him. She strode over to him and yanked his bag from his shoulder, repeatedly hitting him with it, making me stifle a laugh.
"You. Arse. Ronald. Weasley! You can't expect me to be all happy when you leave all three of us for months! Then you go and show up again, and you only say 'hey'." Hermione yelled furiously, her frizzy mess of hair flying all over the place. I was very glad that she left my wand back in the tent, otherwise she would've blown Ron to bits.
"Harry?! Where did you put my wand?!" She turned to Harry and ran over to him, so he ended up backing into a tree, insisting that he didn't have it.
"Why would he have your wand?" Ron asked, still just standing there. By this time I was at one of the trees that was near them, but I couldn't go any further, my ankle was now aching with excruciating pain.
"That doesn't matter at the moment!" Hermione shouted, advancing back towards Ron.
"What in Godric's name is that?" She asked, pointing to the thing hanging from his hand. It was the necklace, only it had been destroyed.
"You killed it? Also, you just 'happen' to have the sword of Gryffindor?" Hermione spat, looking from Harry to Ron.
"Believe me, it's a long story." Harry cut in.
"Don't you dare think that this would change anything." She stated, turning around to make her way back to the tent.
"Of course it wouldn't. I just destroyed this bloody Horcrux, why would that change anything?" Ron retorted, rasing his voice a little.
"I wanted to come back as soon as I left, I just couldn't find you." He continued, no longer shouting.
"How did you actually find us?" Harry asked curiously as Hermione faced them again.
"The deluminator. It doesn't only turn off lights. I have no idea how it works, it's quite strange. On Christmas morning I stayed in this little pub, trying to escape the snatchers. That's when I heard it. A voice, yours, Hermione. You just whispered my name, just my name. So I clicked it open and this ball of light came out of it, I then knew. It hovered towards me -the light- and went straight through my chest. I knew it would take me where I needed to go so I just disapparated, it took me to this hillside. I had no idea where I was, I just hoped that I would see one of you. And you did." Ron told us and Hermione stayed silent, before storming back into the tent. Before she did though, I picked up a stone from the ground and tossed it at Ron, and sure enough it hit him in the arm. Hermione saw this and rolled her eyes at me, a smirk playing on her lips.
"Ow! Amy, what was that for?" Ron asked, running the spot where the stone hit him.
"I promised Hermione." I replied. "Good to see you again."
"And you. What happened to your foot?" Ron asked, looking down at my bandaged ankle.
"Nagini -You-Know-Who's snake- bit me." I answered simply and he nodded, looking rather confused.
"What have I told you about walking, hmm, Amy?" Harry said, standing in front of me with his arms crossed.
"Not to do it." I muttered and he chuckled, picking me back off the ground and carrying me back into the warmth of the tent,Ron following us.
