Amelia's P.O.V
I sat in my cell, my back against the stone, cold wall, my knees to my chest. My eyes were wide, staring lazily at the opposite wall, the thin streams of light peaking through the cracks in the stone was the only reason I could see. This was my life, dull and pointless, living aimlessly through each slow day, I really don't see the reason I'm stuck down here. If Voldemort did indeed save me from my parent who apparently hated me, why am I hidden from the world? Why can't I be a normal person and do normal things? I was only one year old when he took me back here, who could ever hate their child when they're such a young age? Scratch that, who could EVER hate they're child? I haven't left this cell since I've been here, since there is a bathroom built in. To be honest, I've never been outside either, I don't know what the sun looks like, what the grass feels like under my feet, what the wind feels like on my face. My dirty rags that I have to call clothes clung to my skin, making me very uncomfortable and itchy. The plate of food and water next to me was untouched, as I didn't feel like eating, my tiredness and boredom drowning out my hunger. I looked around the large circular room, searching every corner and crack that I had memorized so many times for something that may amuse me in the slightest way, to rid me of this silent boredem. Of course, I had done this thousands of times before, but I was unsuccessful of finding anything that would interest me in the smallest. Most people would go mad being in this place more than a few months, but not me, I didn't know better, to me this was a normal day. In my whole life time, I've only ever talked to 2 people, Voldemort and Severus Snape (who teaches me), the rest of the time I'm on my own, but I don't mind that, I like my own company. I sighed and fiddled with the ripped hem of my plain black shirt, pulling out some loose threads that hung limply from it, then the thought that has haunted me for many years came to my mind yet again. What if I never leave this place. I personally thought it was a waste, being stuck in one place for the whole of your life, not doing everything you should experience before you die, but that may be the way things have to be, and I was prepared to put up with it.
A loud bang above me caught my attention immediately, my head snapped towards the ceiling where dust and a few small stone fell. A few shouts of rage and pure fury echoed through the thick stone as I shot up from my sitting position backing up against the wall on the darkest side of the room, staying hidden in the shadows, my wand drawn just in case, but I shouldn't bother using it because magic doesn't work in here unless Snape disables the enchantment that stops me from doing so, like he does to teach me spells. Footsteps trailed down the stairs, getting closer and closer to me, my heart raced faster and louder, so much so that you could probably hear it from metres away.
"Amelia? Amelia Potter? Are you in here?" A gruff voice called and I pressed myself to the wall, my breathing beginning to deepen as fear built up inside me.
"We won't hurt you, we've come to help, just show yourself if your in here." A softer voice of a woman reassured and I cringed, not knowing what to do, but before I could decide, the enchantment preventing powers broke and three wands lit up brightly, giving away my hiding spot. I flinched against the light as I looked at the people. One had a wooden leg, that clinked against the rock with one eye strapped to his scarred face which swivelled round crazily. The next had short, bright pink hair and was shorter than all the rest, she was actually very pretty. The other was a tall man, with very short hair and a suit with a bow tie.
"Are you Amelia Potter?" The one with the wierd eye asked and I nodded quickly.
"We've come to get you out of here, dear." The woman said kindly and I looked at them strangely.
"W-who are you? And why do you want to get me out of here?" I said quietly, shrinking into the corner slightly.
"We don't have time, we'll explain everything once your safe." The tall man replied and I took a step forward, so they could see me better, the woman smiled at me. She took my hand and they lead me quickly from the dungeon, terror bubbling in my stomach. As we ran through the house, magnificent room after magnificent room I caught glances of the beautiful gold encrusted furniture that shone in the light, the detailed wooden carvings and paintings on the walls of all different sceneries only made me eager to see the outside world for the first time. They blow the door open and what lay before my eyes left me in awe, I smiled slightly as the yellow sun came into my view, the beams of light hitting my cheeks, warming me up instantly. As they pulled me along all I did was stare at the lush green grass that tickled my bare ankles, the white fluffy clouds floated in the baby blue sky, shaping different animals and creatures that made me smile. One of the people snapped me out of my trance and I jumped, not expecting it.
"What we're about to do may surprise you a bit, and you might feel a bit sick afterwards, just a warning." The tall man told me and I nodded shyly as they took my hands. I suddenly felt my feet leave the floor and I was squeezed through a very tight tube that restricted my breathing, I panicked, scrunching my eyes shut, trying to prepare for what came next. I was then planted back on the firm ground, I breathed in sharply and hunched over, clutching my aching chest and stomach.
"What was that?!" I exclaimed, standing back up again.
"We just apparated, you're taking it well though. Most people faint on their first go." The woman explained, taking me to a very large house with rooms piled on top of, and next to each other, it was brilliant. The man with the wooden leg rapped on the door loudly and we waited patiently until someone opened the door, it was a woman, she had red hair that reached her shoulders, she was a little plump and she was wearing a long layered dress that seemed to be made from patches of different materials. She saw me and smiled before ushering us all in, she seemed very nice in my opinion.
"Hello, dear! You must be Amelia, I'm Mrs Weasley, and this is Remus Lupin, Nymphadora Tonks, but just call her Tonks and Alastor Moody, and I believe we have some explaining to do." She introduced everyone, pointing to the appropriate person who she was talking about, she sat me down at a kitchen table, the others sitting around me as I played with my fingers nervously.
"But firstly, can you tell us what you remember from being at the mansion with You-Know-Who." Tonks asked and I nodded, knowing You-Know-Who was another name for Voldemort.
"I know I've been there since I was one year old, and You-Know-Who kept me in that cell you found me in. I never knew anybody apart from him and Severus Snape, who taught me how to use my magic. But why did you take me away? You-Know-Who told me he had saved me, from my parents, he said they hated me, and that they were going to do bad things to me." I put forth and they looked at me.
"So, did you ever leave the mansion? And these stories he told you, did he ever mention someone else in them, beside your parents?" Remus inquired, resting his hands on the table.
"No, I actually never left the cell, when we ran out of the place it was the first time I ever saw the outside. But he never told me about anyone else apart from my parents, but he wouldn't even tell me their names." I answered, beginning to get a bit more comfortable around them.
"I think it's about time to tell you, all that You-Know-Who said about your Mum and Dad, he lied, they loved you with all their hearts. It was You-Know-Who that killed them and he took you away, but you weren't the only one who survived that night, you have a brother, Amelia, his name is Harry and you will meet him soon. And also, what do you think that scar on your neck is for?" Alastor explained my eyes widened but I recovered quickly.
"You-Know-Who told me I got it when he tried saving me from my parents. I guess that isn't true because of all you told me." I replied, quite confused.
"You are correct, you got that scar because, when You-Know-Who attempted to kill you, your Mother, Lily, cast herself between him and Harry and yourself, sacrificing her life for you both. That casted a sort shield around Harry and yourself, You-Know-Who's killing curse rebounded, leaving a lightning shaped scar on Harry's forehead and an 'x' shaped one on your neck. After this happened, he took you away with him, leaving Harry behind." Mrs Weasley informed me and I just sat there silently, trying to take all the information in.
"But that's enough for tonight. Amelia, dear, you must be tired, I'll show you to your room and you can sleep for a while, it's been a very tiring day." Mrs Weasley continued, leading me up a set of creaky stairs and into a medium sized bedroom with a single bed and plenty of blankets, there was also a wardrobe in the corner which held some clothes for me.
"My children are out with their Father today, you'll get to meet them, and Harry tomorrow, just get some sleep for now." She said kindly and I smiled, going into the bathroom to get changed and brush my teeth. After that I walked back into my room and climbed into bed, letting my body sink into the cushioned mattress, falling asleep almost instantly.
