7 - rift and feuds

"P'Joss you need to learn to share P'Nine. He's mine today." Joong blocked the television from Joss' sight.

Nine was awkwardly looking at the two.

"No Joong. You had your turn yesterday. He's mine today." Joss responded while chewing on a popcorn.

"Then let's settle this with a fist fight." Joong challenged Joss who stood up ready to fight Joong.

Nine was alarmed and he stood in between the two trying to put distance between them before things heats up.

"Guys stop! Are you seriously going to punch each other because of me? You two are like brothers. Stop fighting." Nine yelled emotionally.

"Punch? Oh no. I can never hurt Joong."

What?

"Yeah. I wouldn't hurt P'Joss either."

Say what?

"..But.. fist fight?" Nine gestured a boxing motion with his fist.

"Oh that. We were talking about arm wrestling. That's how we settle things if we are in an arguement." Joss explained

"Oh wow. Guess I'm not worth punching someone for." Nine whispered somewhat disappointed.

"Still. No. You will not arm wrestle. We are going to stay here today and just watch movies." Nine stated firmly.

The two nodded in agreement.

For the past three weeks, Joss and Joong has been clingy to him. If Nine wasn't busy he would be out with one of them. Just last week, Joss took him out for a romantic dinner. The day after that Joong took him to watch a movie and play at the arcade. It was followed by Joss inviting him on an afternoon drive to the beach where they watched the sunset. Then Joong took him to a fireworks show.

It was crazy.

One after the other, the two was unstoppable on taking him somewhere or doing something fun with him. Nine refuses to call it a date, for him it was only hanging out.

Nine knows that what the two feels for him is because of the potion he fed them through the brownies.

But it was difficult, to stop himself from feeling something for the two. Joss was kind and sweet to him. Joong was fun and makes him laugh.

The movie on the television was halfway done when Nine looked at the two on both his sides. They were asleep and they both looked like giant babies. Nine couldn't help but smile.

Creating a rift between the two was the last thing that Nine wants, specially if it was brought about by the potion. He made them consume the potion and now they're acting this way towards him. It's only a matter of time when they fight over him. Nine couldn't ignore the signs. And while he enjoys the attention and affection that he was being showered with, it wasn't right.

What started out as an innocent attempt so his noisy neighbor could like him turned into something else, into something more.

Nine sighed.

He wants to be as close to the two as possible. But not this way, this was cheating and it needs to stop.
