Finding A Soulmate( HoO characters)

Leo Valdez was looking at the cafeteria menu when he saw the love of his life. It's name was a cookie-ice cream deluxe.

"I will have a cookie ice cream deluxe, Mrs. Redd." Leo said excited. After being passed around other foster homes, Leo ended up at the worst home yet- one that didn't allow sugar.

"Leo Valdez, your parents have told me to never serve you sugar." Said Mrs. Redd. "Do you think you could actually get past them?"

"First of all, they aren't even here. And secondly, they are my foster parents. They don't even care about me, they care about their new diets more." Leo replied simply. 

Mrs. Redd raised an eyebrow, and Leo had an idea. " But this ice cream isn't even for me. It's for my date." Leo flashed a smile. 

"And who might your date be?"

"Uhmmmm..... Her."  Leo said, pointing to a girl with orange colored hair, a white t shirt and Jeans, and a side braid. Leo had seen her in his Science class before, and she seemed chill. I mean, who wouldn't want a date with Leo Mcshizzle Mcbad boy Supreme?

Leo came up to the girl and tapped her on the shoulder. "Uh, hello? "He said

She turned around." Yes?"

"Oh, um, I kinda have to get you over here right now..." Leo said swiftly and pulled her Mrs. Redd.

He went to the concession stand with the girl and flashed Mrs. Redd a smile. " See? She's my date! Now can I please get the cookie- ice cream deluxe?" He asked.

"What do you mean? The diabetes in a bottle is for her, not you." She handed the girl the ice cream.

"Uhhh...what?" The girl said as the cookie-ice cream deluxe was shoved into her hands.

"Let's just go, Sunshine." Leo told the girl. They both walked away from the concessions and the girl started asking questions right away.

"What was that? What were you saying? What is this!" The girl said, pointing at the cookie-ice cream deluxe.

"That is mine. And why are you asking so many questions? You don't ask that many questions in science!" Leo replied.

"Oh, so now you're stalking me? " the girl asked, eyebrows raised.

"No,I.... Ugh! I don't even know your name!" Leo studdered out.

"Well, that can easily change. My name is Calypso. And why, exactly, did you need me for this.... Plan?" Calypso said.

"Well,it's complicated, but to sum it up I really wanted this and Mrs. Redd doesn't like me." Leo said, suddenly wanting to hide his troubles from Calypso. Why was he doing that? He told everyone else the truth, so why did he want to hide his troubles from her?

"Well, I don't think it's working because Mrs. Redd is coming towards us right-" Calypso said.

"LEO VALDEZ!" Mrs. Redd's voice was so loud that everyone stopped talking and looked over at them."You know your foster parents rules! No sugar! Give that back to your date!"Calypso's eyes bulged at the word "date," but she played along, even with everyone staring at them.

"Leo! You bought that for me! Why did you take it?!" Calypso said.

Woah. This girl is even cooler than I thought. Calypso started tapping her foot, and Leo knew that he had to make a big scene.

"Oh, but Calypso, my darling, we were sharing it!" Leo said.

Calypso gave him a look that looked like what!? And Leo turned as red as tomato sauce when he notice what he said.... With everyone staring at them. 

"Y-yeah... See, Mrs. Redd? We were sharing it." Calypso said, emphasizing sharing.

"Okay then.... Go on and share." Mrs. Redd's said, gesturing toward the food. A loud "OHHhhhhhhh" echoed the room, followed by a "Shut up, Percy!"

So they shared it, and neither person could help but turn red under everyone's stares. 

"Are they a couple?" Some people whispered, and Leo couldn't help but smile at the thought. Wait... Why was he smiling? What is going on???

Finally, they finished that cookie- ice cream deluxe and turned to face each other. Everyone has gone back to minding their own business, even Mrs. Redd.

"Leo Valdez, I swear, you can't do improv!" Calypso said, giggling.

"What? Noooo! I'm so good though! It all worked out, right?" Leo said jokingly.

Calypso turned red. " Yeah, yeah it did."

"So you admit that I'm good at improv?"Leo said.

"Stop ruining the moment!"

"You ruined it first!"

"No, you did!"

Hey both burst into a fit of giggles and had laughed for a whole minute at how they fooled everyone in the room.

"So I am good at improv? Cause I'm trying out for the plays this year for Cinderella and...." Leo said.

"Really? Oh, me too! Do you want to practice together? None of my friends wanted to do it with me, so I have been practicing on my own." Calypso asked.

"Sure, why not?" Leo said, then followed by giving Calypso his phone number."I'll pick you up, I know the best spot to study." Leo said to Calypso.

And when they parted ways, Leo forgot all about the cookie- ice cream deluxe. Not only did he loose the sweet treat, but he also lost his heart. And it seemed it belonged to Calypso.
