Finding A Soulmate( HoO characters)

:Flashback pt.2:

"Where do you think you're going, mister?" My mom said to me as I walked out he door to go to Don the Fauns house. She glared at me while tapping her foot, saying, "Well?"

"Oh, I was going to go over to Don's house. I wanted to help him with.... homework? Oh, yeah. Homework." I replied to mom, unconvincingly. I tried running out the door, but my mom blocked me.

" Well, Jason. I guess you'll have to help later. Cancel the plans, because we are going to have a family meeting." My mom told me. " Go get Thal, and meet me in the living room." She exited, walked off to the living room, waiting for her children.

Although I was angry, I called Don and cancelled the relationship advice plans and went to go get Thalia from her room.

When I knocked on her door, I saw her face timing with the girl of my dreams, Piper. They were going over a presentation and Piper was talking about Pluto. The presentation was about Pluto becoming a planet again. I was so mesmerized by her words, I had to fight the urge to get up and protest with her.

"Hey, Jason! Why are you in my room? Are you stalking us?" Thalia said, just noticing I was there.

I stumbled over my words again. Dang, I really hate that this happens! "I-Um..... family meeting....., go now." I said, then I speed-walked out of my sister's room

Gosh, that was so embarrassing! All I had to do was tell Thalia to hang up and come to the family meeting, but no! I just HAD to stutter. By the time I was done yelling at myself in my head, I got into the living room.

"Jason! Finally!" My mom said cheerfully.

I looked to her right and I saw a pretty girl. Not jaw-drooping gorgeous like Piper, mostly because Piper didn't try. This girl obviously did. She had layers upon layers of makeup on her, each different colors. She was clearly trying to impress someone.

"What? Wait.... mom. Why is this girl here?" I asked my mom.

"Just wait for Thal. I don't want to explain things twice." My mom responded, and we waited for my sister.

"Hey, mom. can we please hurry? I have to finish my session with-" Thalia said, then stopped at her doorway. "Why- why is she here? MOM!?" Thalia said with a confused and scared expression. She looked so guarded that I also put my guard up, too.

"MOM?!" Thalia screamed again.

"THALIA! Calm down. She is a guest in our house and we will speak calmly and responsibly. This is Drew-" My mom said, introducing her to us. Or, at least, trying.

"I KNOW WHO SHE IS!" Thalia screamed. I was sure my neighbors heard her, but if they did, they didn't come knocking on out door.

"You- you are having her here? In THIS house, mom? She- she's..... I need to call Piper." Thalia said, not completing her sentence. She walked out of the room, dialing on her phone although my mom was yelling at her to come back.

"Thalia!" My mom screamed, but Thalia slammed her door behind her.

"Well..." My mom said, smoothing out her dress and looking at her shoes. "I guess I will only tell you at the moment." My mom said looking up at me." This is Drew. Her parents... aren't around anymore."

"Oh, I'm so sorry about that." I told her, and she gave me a small smile... or was that a grin?

My mom looked at me again. "Just remember, this is my decision. Not yours. Not Thalia's." She looked at Drew." I am adopting this girl. There is enough room and food for four people here. Why not use our resources to help the communities. This wont be forever, but we will take her in for some time."

"Well, how do you feel about this?" My mom asked, questionably.

"Uhm... Thal isn't going to like that. You did see her reaction, right?" I said to my mom, not looking at Drew.

"Well, then. Go ahead and convince her to be fine with it.." My mom said gesturing to the door.

So, I went into my sister's room, finding that Thalia had just gotten off the phone with Piper. "What do you want?" She asked as I came in.

"I...I wanted to ask why you don't like Drew." I said, not abiding by my mom's instructions. Thalia walked up, gestured for me to go inside and closed the door behind me.

"Drew... Drew and I have history." Thalia said, taking a deep breath." Drew... Drew will get what she wants. She doesn't care about who she has to step on to get there. She-" Thalia said, then she burst into tears. "She was my best friend. We played at each other house for years... until I made the mistake of telling her who I had a crush on. It was just a silly crush but..."

I could barely hear her through the tears and sobbing. "She told him... and she brought him over for dinner. Me, my crush, and Drew were eating at the restaurant when she kissed him. In front of me." 

Maybe that was the wrong time to tell her, but I told her the news of our new sister.

Suddenly,  Thalia stopped crying, and she wiped away her tears." Whatever you do, don't trust her. One day, she's going to stab you in the back. I don't care if she is my new sister. Don't trust her."
