Chapter 5

Marie's POV

I drive in silence home and it's raining really hard. I see someone very familiar walking in the rain. When I get closer I notice that it's Kayla. I stop next to her and roll down my window.

" Need a ride boo?"

She jumps a bit but when she notices that it's me she smiles and laughs.

" Yea I do... Do you mind?"

" No just hurry and get in."

She quickly gets in the passenger seat and puts on her seat belt. She smiles at me and I smile back.

" Soooooo where's your car?"

" It wouldn't start up at home so I had to walk to school and thankfully you picked me up"

" No problem where do you live?"

" Uhm 26 Oaks Mossy Ave. "

" Oh cool I live like 10 min away from there"

" Cool "

We get to her house and I pull into her driveway.

" Well here's your stop."

" Yeah is our date still on for tomorrow at 8pm"

" of course Kayla."

She smiles and I smile back. She leans in and I think she is about to kiss me but she just kisses my cheek and quickly gets out of the car and waves goodbye.

I feel the heat rise on my cheeks and I know I'm blushing. I can still feel her kiss lingering on my cheek even though it was a quick simple kiss on the cheek.

Well now I know.... I have the most biggest crush on Kayla Right.

Kayla's POV ( next day)

I wake up excited for the date. I have a major crush on Marie. She's just so wonderful and I just can't stop thinking of her. And to top it all off her face is the most greatest face ever.

I think about how she blushes and how she tries to flirt but fails. I just like a lot of things about her.

I remember that I have her number and I quickly grab my phone and text her.

Me: Good Morning Sunshine ( kiss emoji)

She responds quickly.

Marie: Good Afternoon lol it's 3:33 you must sleep late.

I check the time and see that it really is 3:33pm. I quickly text back

Me: Yeah I do sleep in a lot.
Marie: Yea I can tell lol.

I can't stop thinking about her and I really wanna see her so I'm gonna ask if we can meet each other for our date in about 30 minutes.

Me: Yeah lol. Btw I was wondering if we can change the time for our date. Can we meet in 30 minutes?

I hesitantly press send and crosses my fingers and hopes she says yes.

Marie: Yea of course. If I get to see you I would go at anytime. ( kiss emoji)

Me: Okay see you then sunshine ( kiss emoji)

Kayla POV

It's about 20 minutes later and I have on some skinney jeans and a rainbow tie die shirt. I brush my hair down and tuck it behind my ear. I put on my white vans and quickly run outside.

I get in my car, my moms boyfriend fixed it last night, and quickly drive to Starbucks.

Once I get there I see tons of people but my eyes are only focused on Marie. She has her hair in a ponytail and she is wearing a sweater that says ' Kiss me' and some black jeans. I think she looks hella gorgeous.

She spots me and smiles and I smile back and walk up to her.

We order out drinks and sit down.

" How are you today?" I ask happily.

" Great you?"

" Same"

" That's good soooo you were supposed to tell me about yourself."

" Yeah that's what we are here for right?"

I laugh and she laughs with me.

" Well Uhm as you know my name is Kayla Right, I have an older sister, I'm gay asf, and I really skittles."

" I love skittles too there so good."

" I know right"

" Can I ask you a question?" she ask me.

" Go ahead."

" Do you have any crushes on anyone If so who?"

Well here's my chance....

" Yeah I do"

" Ooo who is it?"

I grab a pen out of my purse and write two letters on a napkin. I write ' YU' making sure she dosent see it.

" I'll tell you when it's time for me to go sunshine"

She blushes and nods. I check the time and notice I have to go now.

I pass her the napkin I wrote on.

" This is who I like."

I quickly walk out of Starbucks and drive away not believing I just did that.

Marie POV

I watch her leave and I open the napkin and see the napkin says ' YU'

I think about what it means and my eyes widen when I figure out it mean ' you'. She likes me too.

I jump out of my chair and cheer a bit. I get dirty looks from people but I flick them off and walk out like a boss.

I quickly send Kayla a text.
Me: I like you too... A lot actually. ( heart emoji)
