Chapter 18

Marie's POV
I'm lying in bed then I just remembered I invited Carley, Gord, and Cam to my house.
"Shit!" I say out loud but Kayla is still asleep.
I pull out my phone and start a group chat it's 12am, I hope they are still awake.
Me: Hey guys I am so sorry I forgot to tell you guys I'm spending the night at Kayla's house you guys can come over tomorrow at 2pm sense it's the first day of Christmas break
Carley: It's cool and I think I can come over tomorrow we should go to movies
Cam: Yeah I like that idea
Gord: Same and I'm spending the night at Ryland's house
Cam: Did u guys do the 'dirty'
Gord: I'm not telling you
Me: well I'm going to bed goodnight
I lay back into the bed and close my eyes.

Kayla's POV
I wake up in the morning I look at the clock and it's 11 I'm so happy I get to sleep in. I see Marie is still sleeping so I go to the bathroom and start the shower then I hear my mom's foot steps. I remember that I can't have anyone over this time, I wake up Marie.
"What?" She says in confusion and yawning at the same time
"Hurry my mom can't know your here I grab her hand and throw her into the shower and close the curtains. My mom walks into the bathroom.
"Hey mom!" I say trying to act normal
"Hey have you seen my curling iron?" She says moving stuff around and checking every where.
"Nope. Not at all!" I say quickly faking a smile
"Your hiding something... You have it right behind you."
She grabs it's and I sigh and walks out. Then Marie gets out of the shower.
"I think it's time for me to leave." She says slowly
"Ok stay safe."
I kiss her and she sneaks out of my house.

Marie's POV
I'm walking home to see my little brother and my homophobic mom. As I walk I see a little snow flake fall then more and more. I can't believe it's snowing I'm so happy. I walk in my house and I take off my outerwear I turn around and see my mom crying.
"I'm so sorry for what I said you can be whatever you want to be I missed you so much."
"I missed you too." I say and hug her

Marie's POV
I'm siting in front of the movie theater waiting for Carley, Gord, and Cam. I didn't want to invite Kayla because I didn't want this to be a date with friends. I see Carley the first person to show up then Cam then Gord. We spoke and we walked into the theater and sat down as the movie started.

Kayla's POV
I'm sitting in my room doing homework thinking about Marie I miss her so much. I look at my window the snow on the ground starting to pile up and the roads are icy.

I look at the clock it's almost been two hours then my phone rings. I hope it's Marie but it's my mom I answer.
"Hey mom"
"Your dad is in the hospital from a terrible accident and he hit a girl she looks like Marie which caused him to swerve into her friends! There all in the hospital and your dad is very injured..."
I can't respond I start to feel tears.
