The Feelings Within

Chapter 24

Gord's POV
We walk together holding hands, right before we get to Ryland's family room I kiss him on the forehead saying how much I love him. She sits on the couch wile me and Ryland sits on the love seat with his arm around me.
"You called me in here mom?"
"Yes Ryland, I like to say I support you have these feelings towards the same sex but I don't know if your dad will... I think it's better to stop going to church... I don't want them to judge you."
"I think it's better if you, Gord to stop coming to our house so much..."
"I don't want to talk back mrs. Smelser but I can't do that I love your son so much and it hurts being away from him." I said
"Yeah mom I love him so much please let him be over we just won't act like we like each other in front of him."
"I know how it feels to love someone but you can't show your feelings. My dad disapproved of this one rebel boy I like so much so we secretly dated it hurt too much that's why we broke up. I love you two together I knew you guys had a thing when the first time he came over in seventh grade. I didn't know for sure but I had a feeling... Fine here's the thing I won't tell dad so you guys can be together but you can't act like a couple when he's around."
"Thank you Mrs. Smelser!" I said with happiness then kissed Ryland.

Marie's POV(New York trip day)
We all get to the school which is closed for New Years and it's the 31st. I see all of the debate club here already before the teacher. The teacher shows up then the buses. Me, Gord, Cam, Ryland, Kayla, and Lily and get on the same bus. They call our names for attendance and they tell us we will be 30 min ride. We all sit close to each other.

"I'm so excited! I can't wait to get to the hotel." Gord says

"I know right I actually never been to New York, so my first trip I get to see the ball drop." Kayla says

"So Cam, Lily are you guys doing the dirty?" Ryland asks with a sexual smile and lifting his eyebrows.

"Of course! Why wouldn't we? Are you and Gord doing the dirty?" Lily said

"I didn't get our own room for no reason..." Ryland says

I look at Kayla and kiss her on the cheek.

"I love you so much... Some day I'd like to get married to you." I said staring to her eyes.

"I love you too I'd like to marry you one day but not till after college... I have too much stuff to worry about..." She says

I'm little saddened by the response but it's okay I still love her.

We pulled up next to our hotel in Brooklyn. they give us our key to our hotel we got the second to last room on the 3rd floor. I got a room with Kayla and Cam got a room with Lily and we already know Gord and Ryland got a room togeather. there rooms are right next to ours. Our teacher walks up to us.

"Ok class I trust you all. It is currently 12:23pm I want everyone back at the hotel by 10:30pm so we can head to times square and see the ball drop."

"Yes sir" the class says in unison.

Kayla's POV
Me and the rest of our group are sight seeing we just visited the Statue of Liberty. We are about to see the Empire State Building we walk down to the subway. Me, Lily, Ryland, Gord and Cam get on the subway.

"This place is awesome I don't ever what to go home." Cam says
"I know right!" Gord says in agreement.
"I'm glade I'm here with you Gord." Ryland says right before he kisses him on the cheek.
I think for a second wait where is my bae? She was at the sub station last time... Crap we left by accident.

"We left Marie by accident we have to go back at the next stop."
We get on a cab but when we get to the train station she wasn't there we searched every train station in New York City I can find her.

We get to the hotel because it's almost 10:30. I cry for a little she could be dead how am I supposed to tell her mom and dad. Then I hear a knock on the door I open it... It's Marie!

"There you are! Where were you, I was so worried!" I Said
"Um I was at the hotel spa the whole day..." She says
"Oh this is awkward... Well we have to get ready for the ball drop!"
