Dear Charlotte,
Hi, my beautiful daughter, I am your mother but you probably knew that. I am not writing this letter to make sure you never see your father or to pick sides there are no sides I just want you to be happy. And I want you to know who your father is since he's not in your life. And just so you know he didn't leave you because he didn't want you. I can tell you that he loves you so much more than words can describe. Your father and I were best friends for our whole life and one day we did something which is how you came to be. And the next day I had to go to New York for college which is where we live now isn't it beautiful I love it. Once I found out I was pregnant with you, there was no way your dad could be in your life, and I'm so sorry about that. I'm about 8 months pregnant with you right now and there's nothing more I want than to hold you in my arms. I will love you until my last breath. And when you're reading this, you will be 18 years old and hopefully not pregnant like I was around that age. But you are now an adult now, god how time flies, I'm so emotional right now, I can't even think about you being all grown up and not crying. Well since you are an adult now you have the choice to find your dad if you want to. And if you do well then we are going to have a big talk and I will give you all the information you need. I will not be going with you, this is your journey, not mine. He loves you don't ever forget that even if he gets married or has a child with a different girl he will still love you. I'm sorry he wasn't in your life but it doesn't mean he can't ever be. Please understand where I'm coming from that's all I ask. I love you Charlotte with all of my heart.
