|Carter|I'm married to Rebecca, and if I'm being honest I don't know how to feel about it. If my father didn't stare me down at the wedding and I only saw Emma I wouldn't have gone through with it. But this is for his company and I didn't have a choice. I'm still very much in love with Emma, she's even more beautiful than she was before she went to college. But the fact that she has a daughter is crazy to me, she's a mother now, but why didn't she tell me? We were best friends for so long and I would have been there for her during those hard times and helped her through it.
"Thank you for coming," Rebecca and I say to our guests as they leave.
After most of our guests except our families leave she turns to me and starts talking.
"So honey are you ready to go on our honeymoon," Rebecca asks me smiling big.
"Of course, let's go," I answer her grabbing her hand. Rebecca knows about our arranged marriage, and she explained that she was okay with it but wanted to try and make it work like a real one. I agreed but now that I have seen Emma I'm doubting my choices.
Rebecca and I are going to the Caribbean for three weeks for our honeymoon. When we get back to the room our bags are in I grab all of the bags to put them on the private plane we are taking thanks to my father. But all I can think about right now is the letter Emma gave me before my wedding, she said it would explain everything that has happened these past five years. But I'm so nervous to read it.
"Honey it's time to get going," Rebecca says to me smiling.
"Alright, we are all set to go," I say to her having the bags in my hands.

It's been an hour since we boarded the plane and Rebecca must have been exhausted from the day we had because she is recently sleeping on my shoulder. I told her she could go sleep on the couch that's on the plane but she said she wanted to be close to me. Don't get me wrong Rebecca is beautiful and anyone would be lucky to be married to her but I feel bad that I'm not in love with her.
Looking back at the letter in my hands I take a deep breath in and slowly start to open it but Rebecca stirs in her sleep stopping me.
"Honey," Rebecca whispers to me.
"Yes," I answer as I set the letter next to me, and rub the top of her head.
"You're my husband,"
"And you're my wife," I say kissing her forehead.
"Are you happy," she asks now fully awake.
"Yes I am, are you,"
"Yes,"
The plane lands a couple of hours later and Rebecca and I did get some needed sleep, we both get off the plane, and the hot sun that was set on the horizon but since I just woke up it blinded me because it was still very bright. Rebecca and I hold hands as we stand there, looking around.
"Wow, it's beautiful here," Rebecca says looking at the water which is the brightest blue I have ever seen.
"Yes, it is,"
The way the sun hit Rebecca's skin was breathtaking, her beautiful brown hair was down in some natural curls. She's wearing a nice yellow sun dress. My wife, ladies, and gentlemen. That's still weird for me to say, she's my wife.
"We should go to the hotel honey," she says as she kisses my cheek.
"Yes, we should,"

I am recently sitting on the hotel's bed looking at my phone and Rebecca is using the bathroom. The bathroom door slowly opens revealing Rebecca my new wife and wearing a lace red set.
Oh my god. Now we have done it before but I'm not really feeling it right now, the only thing on my mind is the letter. Which I know is bad since it's my honeymoon and all but I'm just going to be honest with her.
"Hi honey," she says smiling shyly.
"Oh hi," I say back as normally as possible.
"Are you okay," she asks looking worried at me.
"Yes, it's just someone gave me a letter at the wedding and I haven't had time to read it, if it's okay I would like to read it,"
"Of course, you can," she says smiling at me but I can see disappointment fill her eyes.
"I promise we can do this later," I tell her kissing her cheek.
"Okay," she says smiling more after I say that.
Rebecca lays down on the bed and tells me she's a little tired from the plane and is going to take a nap, I kiss her forehead before slowly getting up from the bed grabbing my travel bag, and head out of the room towards the living room in the honeymoon suite we are staying in. I sit down on the couch and take the letter out of my bag, I take a deep breath in before opening up the envelope and unwrapping the letter. I slowly start reading the letter, taking my time.
What--no way this is true. But the night comes to me like whiplash, it is true we did have sex that night. I can't believe I didn't remember at all until this moment. And there's only one thing on my mind now.
Charlotte's my daughter.
"I'd always secretly believed that a love as fierce and true as mine would be rewarded in the end, and now I was being forced to accept the bitter truth."
