Today is Charlotte's sixth birthday.
Wow it's been six years since I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl.
But today is going to be the best birthday for her because she gets both of her parents.
That actually love each other.
Since Rebecca and Carter split up things have been great. Carter has been an amazing dad for Charlotte. He started the first couple months bonding with her and building up her trust again. She LOVES him so much to the point that she now calls him dadda or dad. It's so cute I love my perfect little family I have now.
I slowly open my eyes seeing Carter's handsome face sleeping quietly. I very carefully get out of bed sliding out of the room heading to the kitchen. For our daughter's birthday I will be making breakfast for her chocolate chip pancakes and bacon. Yum.
When I'm done making the pancake mix I hear a bedroom door open slowly. Looking up to see Carter with no shirt on rubbing his eyes. Man he's hot.
Oh my goodness.
He walks over to me still not talking to me. I continue making the breakfast when I feel two arms go around my waist. As his face cuddles up into my neck, feeling his breathe on my neck making me shiver.
"Good morning," he finally says his voice husky from sleeping.
"Morning,"
He kisses my neck before spinning me around and kissing my lips.
"It's Charlotte's birthday today and I have the whole day planned," he explains proudly.
"Really now please fill me in," I ask him spinning back around flipping some of the pancakes.
He walks around to the another side of the counter and sits down. Finding a shirt and putting it on.
"Well first we are going to go around New York City and doing whatever her little heart wants too," he says happily.
"Then we are going to a restaurant as a family,"
"Next will be a little present time,"he says not going in detail about it.
What is this boy planning.
"And finally we will drop Charlotte off at her friends house and go home for us to celebrate," he says winking at the last part. I blush and look at the ground.
"Sounds wonderful to me, she will love it," I answer to him making Charlotte her birthday plate, nothing too fancy just fancy enough.
"Ready," I look at him.
"Of course," he responds.
Carter grabs the flowers we pick out for her the night before when I grab the breakfast tray. We walk quietly to her bedroom door and open.
We counted to three before singing happy birthday. As we continue singing her eye lids flutter open she rubs her eye waking up.
"Mommy, dadda," she asks quietly still waking up.
"Happy birthday sweetie," I say smiling at her as I give her the tray.
"Happy birthday my sweet beautiful daughter," Carter says giving her the flowers carefully.
"Thank you," she says kissing our cheeks before digging into her food.
"Wait you get to make the decision honey do you want to eat in bed or with us at the table," I ask her smiling widely.
