"What the fuck am I doing?" Louis muttered to himself when he ordered yet another beer.
It was Monday evening and Louis was supposed to go to Liam's place with Zayn the next day, but yet there he was sitting in a bar and drinking his ninth beer. He knew he shouldn't be there, even Zayn had warned him not to go but when Zayn had went to shower, Louis kind of sneaked out. He really just wanted to have fun before he would be stuck with Zayn, Liam, Harry and God knows who else for at least a week. Weddings were not Louis' thing and he needed to get out one last time before Liam and Zayn's wedding because it was highly unlikely that he would get a chance to go partying during their time in Liam's home. And by partying he means get laid.
Louis finally got his drink, and he took a long sip. He noticed from the corner of his eye how someone sat down next to him, but he didn't turn to look. 'Don't make the first move' was Louis' childish yet simple but effective motto.
"Hi."
Louis mentally grinned, and slowly turned to look at the stranger. "Hi."
"Everything alright? You look distressed", the man said. He had short black hair, brown eyes and tanned skin. Not a bad looking fella.
Louis snorted. "I am distressed."
The man raised an eyebrow curiously. "Why so if I may ask?"
"My friend is getting married on Saturday."
"Shouldn't you be happy then?" the man asked, confused.
Louis shook his head, and shrugged. "Nah, marriage is stupid."
The man nodded agreeing and then leaned closer, offering his hand to Louis.
"I'm Marco."
Louis raised an eyebrow, and shook Marco's hand. "Louis."
"Nice to meet you, Louis", said Marco, and held Louis' hand a little longer than necessary. However, Louis didn't mind. The lad seemed nice and hot too. It was clear what he wanted from Louis and lucky for him, Louis wanted exactly the same thing.
Louis pulled his hand away, and leaned against the counter, eyeing Marco.
"So why are you here?" Louis asked.
Marco shrugged. "Got fired today."
"Oh, so you're here to cry your misery."
"No", Marco laughed. "I'm here to celebrate— I hated that job."
Louis started laughing. Marco was Louis' kind of guy. Definitely one night stand material. To be honest, Louis had decided that he wanted to get it on with Marco in that exact moment when the guy had greeted him.
"I assume you are not in a relationship then", Louis said, tilting his head slightly.
Marco scooted a bit closer. "That obvious?"
Louis shrugged, amused.
"Kind of, yeah", he said, and looked Marco in the eye.
The guy leaned closer and just then Louis phone started ringing. Louis leaned away from Marco and groaned in frustration because of-fucking-course that irritating device decided to began ringing just when things were getting interesting.
"Goddamn it", Louis sighed and pulled his phone out of his pocket. It was Zayn. "Excuse me a second."
Marco nodded and scooted a little bit farther away, giving Louis some space. Louis exhaled slowly and then answered, trying to sound as sober as possible.
"Took you long enough to notice that I'm gone."
"Where the hell are you?" Zayn snapped immediately.
