"Zaynie..."
"What?"
It wasn't gentle 'what' it was what-the-fuck-do-you-want what. Though that didn't stop Louis.
"Are we there yet?"
"For the love of God, Louis!" Zayn groaned. "For the tenth goddamn time, no, we are not there yet."
Louis sighed and continued staring out of the window. He was bored, tired and hungry. Why did he went to that bar? Now he realised how incredibly stupid idea it had been. Their trip to Liam's home seemed endless and it didn't help at all that Zayn barely talked to Louis. Louis thought that Zayn was totally overreacting.
"Are you nervous?" Louis asked, sighing.
Zayn shrugged.
"Not really, no", he said. "I feel like I'm going home...", Zayn thought for a moment before adding, "but I suppose I will be nervous when Saturday gets closer."
Louis nodded. "Would be understandable."
Or not. Louis didn't get why Zayn would have to be nervous; he and Liam had been together five years. Seriously, Louis could swear that weddings turn every single human being into a nervous mess. It was ridiculous— marriage was just a piece of paper and it doesn't proof anything. It didn't make sense why everyone still wanted it.
But whatever Louis thoughts about marriage were, his first priority still was Zayn's happiness. And since Zayn seemed to be perfectly happy with Liam, Louis wanted to support him and be there for him. Louis can support and celebrate his best friend's marriage but it doesn't mean that he himself would magically start fancying the idea of getting married. Being free like a bird was more like Louis' thing.
"Louis, when we get there", said Zayn, "I want you to remember that you can't do anythin' stupid. It's my first, and hopefully my last, wedding— I don't wanna commit a murder in my own wedding."
"Was that a death threat?"
Zayn glanced at Louis, shrugging. "Just don't do anythin' stupid."
"Define stupid", Louis said. "Because, you know, there's many kind of stupid. There's stupid like not using condom, or stupid like running naked in a public place, or stupid like fucking someone else's boyfriend or—"
"All of those things!" Zayn interrupted. "I mean all of those things. Don't do any of those things."
"I can't promise something that I can't keep because then in the end when I eventually do something really stupid, you will be mad at me because I broke my promise", Louis pointed out. "But I can promise you that I will try."
Zayn groaned and playfully punched Louis shoulder. "You're impossible."
Louis laughed. "I've heard that one before."
Louis glanced out of the window and gasped. He hadn't even noticed that they were driving some road which had forests either side of it.
"Where the hell are we?" Louis exclaimed.
"Just wait."
"All the horror movies start when the main characters go in the middle of nowhere to 'have fun'", Louis muttered, but Zayn ignored him.
They drove and then Louis was staring a big house. Liam's home. It wasn't even a house, really. It was basically a fucking mansion. Louis mouth dropped open because, yeah, okay, Liam's parents owned a goddamn mansion. No biggie.
"Please say we got lost and this is not really where we will spent these couple of weeks."
"We got lost and this is not really where we will spent these couple of weeks", said Zayn dryly.
