i lapse into this recurring trance
underwater, shadows dance
shadows of gloom, those that spell doom
outstretch their hands, singing bewitching tunestheir whispers of evil echo like devil's chords
squeezing my heart, crushing my skull
underwater, i'm dragged further
to the floor, for more torturei struggle to wake
underwater, i shake
my head and drag
my arms restrained
by shadows stilland it does work
i wake, but
the feeling of shadows
underwater remainsthe water in my lungs
and shadows, like thick fog
weigh on me, even as i wake up
pulling me from reality once moreshadows, will you leave me alone?
when will this practice be done?
