Corrupt Clergy(Senryū chain)

He mounts the pulpit
We sit, ready to hear him
Preach The Word again

He starts, touching hearts
Guilty of fornication
I begin to laugh

If only they knew
Where he was, what he had done
Holding me last night

This is a poem written for the currently running Biggest Competition Ever by PoetsPub. I posted a message inviting all poets to check them out earlier. It's an eight week competition, where every week, participants are given a prompt to work with. It's really fun, I encourage you all to join. Just go to the PoetsPub profile (maybe through my bio) and have fun😊

PS, the title of my poem was inspired by lyttlejoe's comment when my poem was posted for the competition
