a remedy to tragedy (a terza rima)

laughter is me, when i conceal the anger
boiling over hundred, water on fire
bullied by man's ills, one after the other

laughter is forming the life i desire
as my conscious and subconscious fight bad thoughts
rattled by man's acts—no, my mind won't tire

laughter is chuckling as my soul darkness sought
in the living room, as i watched comedy
chasing away the headache troubling news brought

i laugh more in these times as a remedy
to life and its tragedy; laughter is me
