Eight years have gone by since Olivia and her parents moved to Chicago. She grew up to be a very beautiful girl with brown hair and grey eyes, small but beautiful plum lips, and a slim petite body with all the right curves. She grew up looking a lot like her dad but had the petite 5ft3inch frame from her mom.

"Hey beautiful," Joseph said, kissing Olivia.

Joseph grew to be incredibly handsome, tall, broad, and masculine with his gorgeous green eyes.

Olivia and Joseph became best friends over the years which later evolved into them falling in love with each other and since then they've been inseparable. Olivia was glad she had trusted Joseph when he promised to be her friend. She felt lucky to have him not only as a friend but as something more.

"What took you so long? We're going to be late for school,"  she grumbled after they parted from the kiss.

"I'm sorry. I was trying to finish up my homework," he replied.

"Okay. So, can we go now?" She asked.

"Sure... Gosh, I can't wait to be done with high school!" He muttered while getting into his blue convertible.

Olivia's mood instantly changed at her boyfriend's statement because she was going to be alone once Joseph was done with high school as he was a senior and she was a junior. Although she had few friends, none were as close to her as she was with Joseph. He kept on talking not noticing her mood change.

"I'll then fulfill my dreams of joining the Air Force. You know how much that means to me, right?" He asked but didn't get any reply from his girlfriend. He then turned to look at her and noticed that she had a sad face.

"Love, what's wrong?"

"Joseph, you know how much I don't like you talking about these things," Olivia replied.

"It's not like I don't want you fulfilling your dreams or anything. It's just that I don't know how I'm going to survive being away from you," she confessed.

Her confession made Joseph realize that he hasn't been fair coming out straight with his emotions again knowing that she is already having a hard time accepting the reality of him graduating from high school ahead of her, not to mention him joining the Air Force immediately after that.

He had wanted to fail his classes just to be close to her but she refused, telling him not to worry about her but he knew she was only saying it to make him feel better. It's getting close to his final exams and Olivia hasn't been herself, making him regret listening to her.

Olivia is still a shy and quiet girl who only opens up when she's with Joseph. He has always been there for her. He also defends her from her bullies in school and that had helped a lot in her studies because there was a certain time she dropped in her classes and it was all because of the bullying and that was because she had refused to tell him then. Now that he'll be graduating, he has been thinking if he should make other options that had Olivia's interest.

"Joseph, are you even listening to me?" She asked bringing Joseph out of his thoughts. He didn't realize that she had been talking.

"I just hope you're concentrating on the road at least."

"I'm sorry. You were saying?" He apologized, making her sigh.

"I was saying that you shouldn't worry about me, I'm only being selfish. You also deserve to be happy." Olivia said and smiled at him. He returned the smile but wasn't convinced that she would be as fine as she claimed.

They arrived at school right on time. The parking lot was already full, but luckily Joseph had his parking spot. One of the perks of being popular. They got out of the car and walked into the school building hand in hand.

In the hallway were teenagers chatting and some making out, Olivia felt so small walking through the hallway with a lot of students staring. Joseph held her close to himself as a sign of assurance that she was safe with him which she was grateful for.

They stopped right in front of Olivia's locker so she could get her things for the first class. She had her back to the locker, taking a glance around. She noticed most of the cheerleaders glaring at her.

"Hey! Babe!" Joseph called getting Olivia to return her attention to him.

"Huh?"

"I'll be going to my locker now because I don't want to be late for calculus. You know how grumpy Mr. James can be," he said causing Olivia to chuckle.

"I'll see you at lunch, okay?"

"Okay," she replied.

Joseph gave her a goodbye kiss before leaving.
