Joseph couldn't believe that Olivia was pregnant. He kept on wondering how that was even possible. He kept thinking of possible options but couldn't make out any. Joseph wondered if that was the reason why Olivia stopped replying to his letters. He needed answers because being ignorant of everything was driving him insane. He had asked his parents if they had any idea about Olivia's pregnancy but instead of giving him an answer, they had asked him to go talk to her. Joseph didn't want to see Olivia because he was presently mad at her. He couldn't believe she would betray him in such a way, so he decided to go confront his brother about it since they were now friends, he would have an idea of what happened.
Joseph went to Jordan's place later that day. They were now both presently seated on the couch in Jordan's living room.
"Jordan, I need to know what happened to Olivia when I was away," Joseph began.
Jordan stared at his brother like he had just asked him the most stupid question on Earth. He scoffed before replying.
"If you need to know anything about Olivia, why not go ask her yourself."
Joseph was already frustrated getting the same response from Jordan whom he thought would give him the answer he needed.
"Look, Jordan, Mom and Dad had already said that and I'm sick of hearing it. I came to you hoping you would say something different, something I need to know." Jordan only raised a brow at Joseph's statement.
"Fine. You really want to know what happened to Olivia?" He asked standing up from the couch.
Joseph nodded in reply, glad that his brother was going to tell him at last.
"Well, she got tired of waiting for you and found comfort in me." Jordan spat with an evil smirk evident on his face.
What Jordan said rang several times in Joseph's head. He couldn't believe what Jordan just confessed.
"That's a lie and you know it," he muttered under his breath not wanting to believe it.
"You think I'd lie about such a thing?" Jordan asked with an unfazed look.
"Olivia would never do that!" Joseph yelled, already pissed at Jordan's attitude.
"Really? Well let me break it to you Joseph, Olivia begged me... She begged me to take her." Jordan lied.
What got Joseph really furious was the fact that Jordan was calm while saying everything without any feeling of guilt or remorse. He angrily pulled Jordan by the collar and gave him a hard punch across the face. Jordan landed on the floor with a look of surprise, he never expected that his brother would go to the extent of hitting him.
Joseph left the house in anger after hitting Jordan. He got into his car and broke down in tears. Right now he wished he had died like his mom had thought.
Joseph didn't return home that night, he went to a bar and got drunk. He couldn't believe that all these years Olivia had been lying about her feelings for him. Now he realized that she only returned his affection because Jordan never paid attention to her. He felt so stupid for not realizing it sooner.
Awww, poor Joseph 😞
