CHAPTER THIRTEEN

"WHAT the hell, man. What are you doing up there!" gilalas na tanong ni Lux nang abutan nitong nakapagkit sa itaas ng kisame ang Beta nito.

He's been waiting for Legion and the strange girl for thirty minutes outside of the packhouse but there's no sign that they'll leave the basement anytime soon so he followed his second in command to check what's happening but only to feel fazed.

How did his Beta got stuck up in the ceiling like a bubble gum?

Damn.

Is that even possible?

Legion supressed a low growl and answered his question. "It's all that ugly bat's doing!"

Awtomatikong lumipad ang paningin ni Lux sa tukoy nito at nakita ang kakatwang babaeng nagtresspass sa kan'yang teritoryo na nasa ilalim ng lumang grand piano habang nakayakap sa isang paa niyon.

Well, the girl was indeed strange. Wearing long black dress and a black hanky wrapped around his head. Makapal at may kahabaan din ang bangs na tumatakip sa mga mata nito kaya hindi n'ya matukoy kung saan ito nakatingin sa mga sandaling iyon.

Nonetheless, she still looks harmless to him.

Lux sighed and walked towards her that made the girl flinched but didn't let go of the piano's leg.

"Is it you?" Lux asked her in a gentle voice not wanting to scare her off.

Agad namang tumugon ang babae sa paos at makatindig balahibo sa lamig nitong boses. Ngunit hindi tulad ng iba, hindi man lang naapektuhan niyon si Lux.

"Fufufu! Maniniwala ka ba, ginoo, na hindi ko iyon sinasadya? Peksman! Sa palabas kasi sa TV, kapag sinasabihan ng bidang babae ang bidang lalake na dumapa ay bumabagsak s'ya sa lupa pero bakit ganoon? Bakit sa kisame s'ya bumagsak, Ginoong Nakasisilaw?"

Lux winced and scratched his head. "I've no idea, woman. All I know is you should put him down right now or you'll piss my friend off even more."

"Pero hindi ko alam kung paano," usal nito na ibinaling sa kabilang direksyon ang mukha.

"What do you mean you didn't know how to! You witch!" angil ni Legion na naririnig ang usapan.

Lux sighed and tried to talk to the woman again. "Kung paano mo s'ya itinaas doon, siguro kabaliktaran lang niyon ang dapat mong gawin, binibini. And if you put him down, I'll give you anything you want."

She deserves to be rewarded anyway. Ayon kina Apache at Aztec ay malaki ang naitulong nito sa panganganak ng kan'yang kapatid. If not for the strange girl infront of him, his sister might be in danger or worst might be dead by that moment and he couldn't imagine life without his only family.

Bumalik ang atensyon ng Alpha sa kaharap at napansin ang paggalaw ng mga tenga ng kakatwang babae na tila nagustuhan ang narinig.

She then giggled in her own weird way and then nodded.

"Kalas," he heard her mumbled and automatically, Legion fell from the ceiling and into the floor with a very loud thud that made Lux winced again.

From the embarassment and anger, he's one hundred sure that his Beta won't let the woman get off the hook that easily. At gaya nang inaasahan ay namumula sa galit na tumayo si Legion.

His sharp eyes focused onto the girl under the piano as his jaw tightened in rage.

"You are so dead, ugly bat!"

Humagikhik ang binibini saka muling nag-usal. "Fufufu! Dapa, kalas! Dapa, kalas!"

Napahilamos sa mukha si Lux nang muling pumagkit sa kisame si Legion sabay bagsak muli sa sahig, pagkit sa kisame at bagsak muli na tila bola.
