"I don't get why you don't want to throw you annual pool party," Emma groaned. She has been arguing with me about this for the last twenty minutes. "It's been overdone Emma and besides I know you just want Dan to see you in a bikini." I shot back at her. Even though she doesn't own a bikini I know she would probably ask me for one.

"Pool parties can never be overdone and besides Anna what type of party do you think you are going to have instead?"

"I want to have a neon party because they haven't been overused yet."

"Why don't we just compromise?"

"And how do you suggest we compromise?" I asked.

"A neon pool party." Emma suggested.

"Oh my god yes! That is such a good idea. I can put glow sticks in the pool!"

"That can't be safe Anna." Emma looked at me dead in the eye shaking her head. I shook my head at her. "I'm not going for safe, but I am going for a killer party."

"Anna you do realize what you just said there right?"

"No, what?" I asked confused. What did I say that was so mentionable besides my "unsafe" idea?

"You just gave the best pun of all time."

"I guess I did."

"Are we sure your parents will be gone this weekend?" Emma asked returning to her normal anxious self. "Yes Emma they go up to visit my grandparents with James the same week every year, so we don't have to worry."

"Who are we inviting to this?" She asked. "I guess who we always do, so we invite the whole junior class and welcome whoever else shows up."

"If we are inviting the whole class why don't you invite Austin so he can meet people?"

"Why don't you do it?"

"No, it is your party so you need to invite him."

"But-" "Your party not mine." Emma shook her head at me.

"Fine I will ask him."

"Mom I'll go get the newspaper," I holler over my shoulder. The only way I am going to be able to invite Austin to my party is if I go outside since I don't have his phone number.

"Hey Princess," oh god Austin is out here, but that is a good thing because I didn't want to have to sit around and wait for him. "Austin you are just the person I was looking for."
