Ch 9- Aftermath

A/N: I wanted to do something a little diffrent this chapter, so I chose a song to listen to while reading the chapter. I think that bulletproof really shows what is going on in Anna's head throughout the chapter. Also so excited to be changing things up a little bit and having Emma's P.O.V. this chapter. Emma's P.O.V.

"Austin wake the fuck up," I practically screamed in his face as I poured freezing cold water on him. "Huh what?" He looked around confused as to where he was, not really bothering to react to the cold water. "What the hell did you do to Anna, why won't she talk to me?"

"I didn't do anything to her. Why would I do anything to her" "Then what the hell happened last night! I'm her best friend and she won't talk to me."

"I told her how I feel about her."

"No you idiot!" I screamed, hitting him upside the head, "You weren't supposed to do that yet! You might have ruined everything!" "How? How did I ruin everything?"

"That's not my place to tell you now I am taking you home." I walked him out the door and across the street because I wasn't taking any chances of him talking to Anna before I could.

I knocked on the door and waited for Mrs. Taylor to answer, "Oh Mrs. Taylor what a pleasure to see you again! My friend Anna is in love with your son." I turned to face Austin who was clearly confused.

"She does she just doesn't know it yet so don't give up. The spare key is under the potted plant, so you can go over there after I leave and talk to her." "Thank you Emma," he sighed with relief, "you are a life saver."

"I'm going to go talk to her now nice seeing you Mrs. Taylor." I called over my shoulder as I walked back to my best friend's house. Now all I have to do is convince her to actually talk to me.

"Anna sweetie it's me can I come in?" I didn't wait for the reply I walked in to her room knowing fully well that she wouldn't answer me.

"Anna why are you crying?" "Because he said those things and he didn't really mean them!" "Anna calm down who are you talking about?"

"Austin! He said all those nice things to me last night and probably doesn't remember any of it!" "Austin? Anna he remembers everything from last night and he meant every word of it."

"How do you know Emma? How do you know he really cares?" "Anna you remember how I told you he is the opposite of Brody? The thing is I knew Brody probably wasn't good for you, but I didn't want to upset you by saying I didn't approve."

"You really did that for me?" "Yes Anna you have been my best friend since forever and you were happy and I can't ruin your happiness knowing how much you have gone through."

"You really are the best friend ever, so you really think Austin is genuine?" "Anna he is probably beating himself up over the fact that you are so upset. He's not going to hurt you and I know you aren't ready to admit you like him but that's okay."

"Thank you Emma for putting up with my crazy mood swings about boys." "Hey it's only fair that I do considering how busy I have been with Dan lately. I feel like we haven't had a heart to heart like this in ages, and I am sorry for that." I looked down at my phone and read my messages.

"It's okay Emma, now why don't you go find Dan and get out of here. I think I will be fine now." "Okay I'll see you later." I winked at her, she probably thought that was Dan texting me, but it was Austin asking Dan and I to go on a double date with him and Anna later.

I am rooting for the boy, even though Anna is starting to come around, she is still going to be a hard one to win over.

Anna's P.O.V.

I heard another knock on my door and I wondered why Emma had come back. "Emma what are you doing back here?" I called out. "It isn't Emma, Princess."

"Austin I don't want to talk to you go away and how did you get the key to my house?" "I'm not really supposed to tell you this, but Emma told me where the spare key is. And will you at least hear what I have to say."

"I don't really want to listen, but you probably are going to make me listen anyways." "That's right Princess I am." He chuckled.

"I know you are mad for what happened last night, so I just want you to know that I remember everything and I also mean every word I said." "You remember everything?" I asked in complete disbelief. "Yes, and I think I remember a certain Princess kissing me on the cheek?"

"You weren't supposed to remember that," I blushed. "But I did remember Princess, so what are you going to do?" He asked while coming closer to me. "What are you going to do Skater Boy?" I sassed back as I backed away from him.

"Well I am going to ask the beautiful princess on a date." "And what if the beautiful princess doesn't want to go on this date?" "The beautiful princess does though because it is the nasty toad's way of apologizing."

"Even though you just called yourself a nasty toad, which I fully agree with by the way, I am not going anywhere alone with you." "Well you aren't going to be alone with me Princess, because that wasn't Dan that was texting Emma earlier. That was me and Emma and Dan are meeting us there."

"Where is there exactly?" "That's a surprise Princess. I will be back in an hour and oh yeah wear something casual." He said as he waltzed out of my room.

I immediately grabbed my phone after Austin left.
