A/N: Big thanks to my best friend who practically wrote this whole chapter because I was having major writer's block. Longest chapter yet and there is definitely alot of drama being hinted at in this chaper. Vote, comment, and enjoy :)

“Your dress matches the theme perfectly, Anna Banana.” Emma said as she looked up from her phone for the first time in the past fifteen minutes. Her hairstylist beginning to curl another piece of her hair as she spoke up, “What’s the theme?”

“City of Lights,” Both Emma and I responded at the same time. The hairstylist nodded her head, humming in approval of the theme. “Do you have dates?” She directed the question towards Emma.

The idea of having a date that I actually wanted to go with this year put butterflies in my stomach. I felt my cheeks begin to heat up as I slowly began to sink my seat, despite Athena’s protests to stay straight up so she could finish curling my hair. My phone was becoming putty in my hands from the sweat that had built up on them.

“Yeah,” I choked out a small response. Emma rolled her eyes at me and looked back down at her phone at her Snapchat conversation she was having with Dan. She puffed her cheeks out, squinted her eyes shut, and lifted her fingers into a peace sign. Finally happy with her picture, she began to type her response.

“How big is your group?” Athena asked, making eye contact with me in the mirror.

“Seven,” Em responded shoving the picture of her dress to her stylist.

“Are your dates hot?” Her hairstylist jokingly asked. “Yes.” Emma hissed her response, eyes rolling up a little with the answer that made me scoff. “To you yes,” I muttered under my breath. She looked over at me, careful not to burn her ear against the curling iron that was on her opposite side. “You think your date is hot too.”

Athena and the other hair stylist laughed, exchanging looks with one another. “You’re done, sweetheart.” She patted on my shoulders as she pinned the last piece of hair in place. I gave her a small smile, standing up from the chair and turned to her. “Thanks, Athena.” I breathed out nervously, giving her a small hug then turned to Emma.

“See you later?” My best friend looked up from her phone and nodded her head at me. “Don’t forget pictures are at the Village at five.” She reminded me for what seemed like was the hundredth time today. I nodded my head and found my legs again, walking towards where our moms sat waiting for us.

If my heart wasn’t already racing it was when I saw Austin in his lilac dress shirt and black tie walking across the street towards my house. He was holding a box with a bow in his hand with a separate bouquet of flowers in his other hand, a woman following closely behind him. She stopped him, turning him to face her as she fixed his hair. To prevent her from messing it up, Austin quickly turned around and continued to walk towards my house.

I swallowed hard and slid on my shoes, buckling them into place around my ankles. Standing up from my bed with a shaky breath, I made my way over to my full length mirror and put on my earrings as the doorbell rang.
