Chapter 35

Tony's POV

Time Skip... The Next Day... Wedding Day...

I'm about to wed my dear Spiderman. I'm as giddy as Morgan is before she has a giant dish of ice cream. I've been in love with him for a long time now and to be able to marry him is a dream come true. I've been through so much in my life and I deserve to spend the rest of my days with the person that I'm destined to be with. I adjust my suit and tie one last time before I'm summoned to join Peter. The two of us are walking down the aisle hand in hand with blindfolds on. It's a weird new tradition but one we thought of together. I'm quite proud of it. Besides, when have I ever been one to fit society's mold?

When I feel a familiar hand slip into mine, I both relax and smile instantly. His hand is smaller than mine but yet it feels so right being held in mine. I squeeze it gently and we walk down the aisle, all of our loved ones staring at us with adoration in their eyes. I help him up the stairs, being careful not to lose my footing in the process. Thor ends up taking our blindfolds off before beginning to ordain the ceremony as our priest. It turns out that he's ordained. I only found out recently and when I did, I knew he was the perfect fit for the gig. Peter and I take our blindfolds off of each other and gasp in unison. He looks incredible and somehow I managed to look decent. This is exactly the revealing moment I imagined in my head.

Thor smiles lovingly at the both of us and dives into his own version of the typical wedding speech, except this version contains several Asgardian terms that make it sound extra classy. When he's done speaking, Peter and I exchange our vows. Peter doesn't like to put on the spot so he wrote his down and I'm going to read it in front of him and silently react. Everyone is well aware of that and understands completely. His written vows say the following:

"Tony, I idolized you growing up but I honestly never imagined you filling the starring role of my love life as my love interest, let alone as the person I'd fall hardest for in my entire life. Now you're about to be my husband and I'm over the moon. When you came into my life, it changed for the better. I love you so much. You give me an eternal sense of happiness. Even on my darkest days, you bring out the light in me. I reflect fondly on our past adventures and look forward to having many more with you."

Tears pool up in my eyes. His vows were beautiful. Now it's my turn to read aloud mine to him. I take a deep breath, pull out a piece of paper with mine on them, and begin reading them.

"Peter, you're the love of my life. No offense to Pepper Potts who is one of my best friends and someone I love dearly. I loved her deeply but unfortunately over time, romantic feelings for Peter seeped into my heart. Some sexual ones too but I won't give you crude details, especially given that there are several children in attendance. You make me so incredibly happy. I knew I made the right call by bringing you on as an Avenger, even if you were too young in the opinion of everyone else. I was the only one who believed in you back then and over the years, I've watched you prove everyone else wrong. That was satisfying to watch. You're a strong asset to the team and essential to my existence. Without you, I'd crumble into a million piece. I love you 3000 Peter."

Peter looks teary eyed as well. We both end up weeping by the time that Thor tells us to exchange wedding rings, placing them onto our ring fingers simultaneously. He grins at us and gives us permission to kiss. I bend Peter over my knee and kiss him like I've never kissed him before. This is what wedding magic feels like. This is a beautiful dream that I don't ever want to wake up from. I'm officially married to Peter Parker. My heart is full and I'm at peace at last.
