Chapter 21
Tony's POV
Peter fell asleep on my lap on the living room couch. His head is resting on my legs currently and he's snoring quietly. I chuckle to myself and stroke his hair gently. He smiles in his sleep and my heart melts yet again. Morgan smiles too. "You and Peter are so cute together Daddy." I ruffle her hair playfully. "Thank you sweetheart. You're a cutie yourself." She giggles. "Thank you Daddy. Do you love me 3000?" I grin. "I love you 3000."
Morgan and I are currently having a Spongebob marathon. I forgot how short the episodes are and one after another flies by so fast. I've always been fond of this cartoon though. It's one of the few decent ones on TV these days. Morgan's favorite character is Spongebob and mine of course is Squidward. He's the sea version of me. Peter's favorite is Patrick. He told me once before a mission way back when. I have no clue how Spongebob came up into the conversation but it's useful knowledge I suppose.
Morgan decides to be mischievous out of the clue. She grabs a washable marker off of a shelf and begins doodling on Peter's face. I want to stop her from continuing to do so but I'm quite frankly amused. I continue to watch her doodle. When she's done doodling, I burst into laughter. She drew a mustache above his upper lip and a unibrow attached to his eyebrows. He even has a few large freckles as well. I give her a high five and Peter begins to stir. His eyes slowly flutter open and when they do, they're staring straight up into mine. I smirk down at him. "Good evening sleeping beauty." He blushes. "How long was I out for?" I glance at the clock on the microwave. "An hour and a half."
He blushes and touches his face, smudging Morgan's lovely artwork. When he looks at his hands and realizes that they're dark blue, he groans. "You or Morgan drew on my face, right?" I burst into laughter and point at Morgan. "She did it. It was all her idea." He pouts playfully. "You didn't stop her though. Please tell me that she at least didn't use Sharpies." "No she didn't use Sharpies. I won't let her use Sharpies for a few more years." He sits up straight and immediately goes to the kitchen to wipe away the mess on his face. It takes him ten minutes to do so. Once his face is cleansed of marker mayhem, he laughs. "She actually did quite the number on me. I want to be annoyed but yet I'm slightly impressed."
He rolls his eyes playfully and throws the dirty paper towels at me. I duck them with ease and pick them up off of the floor. I then toss them like a pro basketball player into the trash. Morgan watches us with amusement, shaking her head every now and then. The three of us end up having a pillow fight with pillows on the couch for a little while before plopping down to catch our breath. We're all crazy in the best possible way. I really could get used to having family moments like this. Peter would make an amazing father to Morgan and/or to another child as well. You never know what the future holds. *wink wink*
