Chapter 5

Peter's POV

I invited Ned and MJ to go suit/dress shopping with me today for the party. I should have a balance of money to put towards their outfits if need be. Tony legit gave me two thousand dollars. Why on Earth do I need this much money? My outfit shouldn't be more than two hundred dollars at most. I don't like spending a ton of money on clothes. Ned and MJ on the other hand are thrilled at buying fancy outfits for once, especially MJ. She tries to play it off like she's not super girly but she highkey wants to wear a ballgown and attract a lot of attention.

I can't wait to see Tony dressed up in a suit again. He looks incredible in a suit. The suit even makes his ass look good... get your mind out of the gutter Peter! Damn, Tony has rubbed off a lot on you these past few years. He's so sexy, the most sexy man alive. He's graced so many magazine covers with that title and they're not wrong. I've never met a man more sexy than him in my life. I really wish he could see me that was, as a fellow sexy man rather than a young adult with a baby face and nothing more.

We all go to Saks on Fifth Avenue and I know immediately we're going to rack up a bill... surprisingly though there is a clearance rack so I'll be shopping for my outfit off of that. MJ and Ned follow me in pursuit of that thankfully. The sales associate is a middle aged woman who rolls her eyes at us. She probably hates teenagers because a lot of us here in the city come in here just to gawk at the clothes and accessories and/or take selfies surrounded by them. I can promise you that I've never done that once and neither have my friends. After modeling each of our outfits (we each managed to find two to try on) for one another, we narrow down which outfit is meant for us. My first outfit is the better one of the two, MJ goes with the second dress, and Ned goes for the second outfit for himself.

Ned and I both got black suits but differing dress outfits. For example, his dress shirt is dark green and mine is red. MJ teased me about that saying it reminded her of Tony, which caused me to blush and think about Tony. MJ's dress is basically a ball gown in a cream color. She both looks and feels like a princess. I want to tease her about it but I can't. She's had a hard year and deserves to feel like royalty for a change. We bring out outfits up the register and the same rude woman rings us up. The grand total comes to a thousand dollars. I breathe a sigh of a relief. There's a thousand to spare that I'll gladly give back to Tony. I don't feel right having this much money on me at once. She bags up our outfits carefully and thankfully doesn't spit on them. We each grab our own bags and head out. MJ and Ned accompany me back to Stark Tower because I really need to give Tony back the change.

When we get there, the three of us marvel at the Tower. No matter how many times I see this building, the sight of it never gets old. "This place truly is home for me." MJ and Ned nod approvingly. MJ grins. "Pretty good digs to call home if you ask me." Her and Ned both hug me before hailing a cab to head home themselves. I head upstairs and immediately find Tony to give him back the change. He smirks at me. "You didn't spend the entire two thousand? I hope you found a nice outfit though." I smile. "I did indeed and even helped MJ and Ned find nice outfits too. You should be happy to have extra money to put back in your pocket. Maybe you could use it on a new suit yourself. The possibilities are endless."

He stuffs the change in his pant pocket. "Where did you end up shopping at?" "Saks. They had a decent sized clearance rack for both men and women. You'll love my outfit, I know I certainly love it. I'm not going to show you it now though. That would ruin the surprise." He pouts playfully. "I bet I'd like what's under the outfit just as much as I'd like the outfit itself." I immediately go red as a tomato as does he. He appears to be shocked that he let that kind of comment slip out. "Wow, that a little too forward of me Peter. I apologize, I'll shut up and try to put a filter on when it comes to those kind of comments." I blush even more. "I-It's okay. I bet you'll look great though, you always do." He nods and motions for me to scurry off so we don't attract anymore attention and I do. When I'm out of his sight though, I do a dorky happy dance. I think there's a chance he finds me attractive based on that comment he made. For the first time, I have some hope.
