05 • "DANCING ON MY OWN"

"IM IN THE CORNER, WATCHING YOU KISS HER. IM RIGHT OVER HERE, WHY CANT YOU SEE ME?"

I got out of Lucifers bed, wearing one of his dress shirts from the floor and going to his kitchen.

I brew myself some coffee while scrolling through my phone when I heard the clicking of heels walk in.

"So you're the little human my son has been seeing." She glared. Blonde and tall, she was the same woman I saw when I woke up from almost getting killed.

"I guess. So you're Lucifers mother."

"Yes, and as a mother it's my job to help my son. Help him make good decisions, clean out his life and occasionally taking out the trash." I knew she was referring to me and I'd be lying if it didn't sting because it did.

"Well the trash can is over there and there's one in the bed room and bathroom."

I replied snarkily.

"Listen here you little imbecile, I need to get home so until my son can focus his emotions in lighting that stupid blade up, you stay away from him or I'll harm that sister of yours." She spat before walking away, leaving me horrified.

It's been weeks and I haven't spoke to lucifer since. I hid when I saw him walking towards the bar and walked away quickly when he tried to speak to me.

He had this hurt look on his face that made me feel so guilty, so selfish but I kept avoiding him.

"Hey Millie, so Lucifer is throwing a party and Lux and everyone is invited and since I know for a fact you don't have plans, you're coming as my plus one." Ella smiled.

"Ella-"

"Nope! I'm using my favour! You can't refuse."

I stayed silent and just nodded. I waited for her to finish her work before we went back to my apartment to get changed.

I quickly finished my makeup and throwing on my jacket before I walked out to see Ella in a silver dress with 6 inch heels. Her hair in curls.
