Lucifer wanted to go order some alcohol for Lux while I went to a beach party with Alex, Darren and Hayden with their girlfriends.
Alex didn't mention Heather coming though.
I rolled my eyes at her glaring at me, I sipped the margarita. Sitting on the towel, sunbathing.
"Ali, come in the water!" Alex said.
"I don't wanna." I said childishly.
"Alright then." He picked me up, throwing me over his shoulder and throw me into the water.
"You ass!" I said jumping at him.
"Oh shit! I can't be injured Ali! It's my wedding." He joked before I splashed water in his face.
"You're lucky I love you." I pouted.
"Aw, I'm honoured." He said throwing a arm around me.
I rolled my eyes, a soft smile on my lips as I shoved him off.
"Hey, hows school?"
"It's fine, I'm on summer break right now. Becoming a teacher is very hard." I laughed.
"Well, can't be harder than becoming a lawyer."
"Maybe." I answered to Darren.
"Where's Lucifer?" Hayden asked.
"He's doing some business, probably ordering some shipments of Mexican tequila to go back to LA, I mean they use it like crack. That's probably mostly because of me." I joke.
"What does he do?" Alex asked.
"Well, many things. He's the owner of Lux, biggest night club in LA. He has like hundreds of properties around the world that he rents out, oh! A civilian consultant for LAPD. He's a lot of things."
"Wow, busy man."
"And Lux?! God! I wish I could get in there." Darren said. "Anisha and I tried getting in but the line were like miles long."
"It's like that every night, I could get you guys in. Just call me and I'll tell Luke to let you in, I can get my bartender friends to get you free drinks too." I say, the cold water surrounding my body.
"You seem happy." Hayden smiles, probably seeing mine while I talked about Lucifer.
"I am, life is absolutely amazing." I said.
"That's good, Ali. You deserved so much more than Mark."
"Thank you, but tell me, how did you start dating the girl who ruined my life since pre school?"
"There it is, the confrontation I was waiting for." He sipped his drink.
"Well, we got together after we graduated. Her parents got divorced and she had to stay with her father, I mean he's rich as fuck so I don't she minded but she was really sad that she couldn't see her mom. We bonded over the fact that divorced parents can suck but it's normal. We fell in love, Ali. She's nice and sweet, just.. give her a chance." He smiled.
"And why have you never told me?" I asked.
"I mean we text daily, call and you've never mentioned her. None of you ever mentioned that my best friend was together with the woman who made it her personal goal to ruin my life before I was old enough to take it."
"Because I asked them not to." Alex said. "I know how'd you react and I don't blame you for it but that was highschool, she's matured and grown into a beautiful and kind person."
"She's been glaring at me for the past two days. Snarky comments. That's not growing up, I've known her longer than any of you have, so I'm telling you, she might be kind and sweet with you but when I'm around, for whatever reason, she's that same girl who spread rumours about me back in high school that even made you question me, so I'm sorry that I can't see her in the same way you do." I walked off, hating that this was happening.

I went back to the house, it was getting late and I hadn't seen Lucifer the whole day.
I sighed, changing into a swimsuit and going into the cold water of the pool.
It overlooked the beach and there was a party going on.
I smiled as I swam, the water calming my nerves.
I felt the water move behind me, I sighed, smiling, knowing it was Lucifer.
His hands slowly made its way to my waist, his lips kissing my neck.
"Where have you've been all day?" I whispered, loving the feeling of his lips against my skin.
