Alexia's POV

I settled back into the plush red cushion of the theatre, the darkness soothing. Lee's arm was wrapped around my shoulder, and I was pressed close to him.

He decided to take me out to a movie tonight since he couldn't yesterday. Of course, we ended up watching a documentary seeing as I couldn't say no to Lee. He loved anything that involved being educated in some way.

I, on the other hand, was falling asleep rapidly and struggled to keep my eyes opened. Not that I hated documentaries, I enjoyed them somewhat. It was just that today seemed especially tiring, and I honestly had no idea why. Then again, I always felt tired after doing homework.

"Are you okay?" Lee finally asked, his voice soft as to not disturb the other maybe ten people in the room.

I nodded, but I couldn't quite stifle the yawn that forced its way out.

Even in the darkness, I could still see that Lee had an eyebrow raised in question. "You sure? You seem awfully tired. We don't have to stay if you don't want to." I picked up a slight note of dejection in his tone, which is what made me shake my head.

"No, it's fine. I'm okay, we should stay. You did pay for the movie after all," I told him, bringing my attention back to the screen.

He leaned over to kiss my cheek. "You're the best," he murmured, and I smiled.

"I know, you've told me that several times."

We both went back to watching the movie, and at this point I didn't even know what we were watching anymore. I just pretended to know exactly what was going on, all the while my eyelids seemed to grow heavier with each passing minute.

There is a one hundred percent chance that I ended up falling asleep against Lee sometime during the movie, and the next thing I know he was gently shaking me awake.

I blinked in the bright light, stretching my arms out.

"W-What happened?" My voice was still thick with sleep, and everything seemed a bit groggy for a moment.

"You fell asleep on my shoulder during the movie," Lee told me with an amused smile. I gave him an embarrassed look.

"Oops, sorry," I mumbled, standing up to walk out. I stumbled for a second, my legs still feeling half-asleep.

I felt his hand fly to the small of my back, steadying me.

"You okay?"

I nodded, still pretty embarrassed. It wasn't like me to be this clumsy. "Yeah, thanks."

He kept his hand on my back, guiding me down the stairs and only took it off once we had reached flat ground. That's when he grabbed my hand instead, showing the world that we were together.

"So, did you like the documentary? What was your favorite part?"

I practically froze in my tracks when he asked that, but I forced my legs to keep walking straight. "Uhh," I uttered. He knew I fell asleep, so shouldn't that give him a pretty clear answer? I looked at him, only to see him grinning at me like a fool, brown eyes lit up with mischief. "You're mean," I laughed, giving him a slight shove.

"Says the girl who just pushed me," Lee retorted, letting go of my hand to drape his arm over my shoulders.

We walked out of the theater and back to his car, idle chitchat about various topics. The car ride back was quite as usual, the person on the radio rattling on about some topic about politics. Politics wasn't my strong suit, it may be one of the only things that I could care less about.
