It was a warm afternoon and you were chatting away with your fellow pillar, who just so happens to be the love pillar, Mitsuri.
"So, you and Shinobu Huh?" Mitsuri nudged your shoulder, making you let out a nervous chuckle.
"Y-Yeah...we..uhh...we're d-dating.." You smiled nervously, fiddling with your fingers in your lap.
"Aww! Don't be so cute!" She said, pinching your cheek.
"I-" You were cut off by a calm voice.
"Mitsuri. Please refrain from touching my girlfriend." You turned your head to see who was talking and you saw your girlfriend, Shinobu.
"Sorry Shinobu! But I can't help it, she's just too cute." Mitsuri cupped your cheeks.
"I'm aware." Shinobu said, gently removing Mitsuris hands and grabbing you by the waist, pulling you into her side.
Since you were shorter than her, you always had to look up to see her and it didn't take much effort for her to drag you around (although she never did it forcefully).
"Aww come on Shinobu! Stop being such a buzz kill!" Mitsuri tried to reach out to me but her hand was swatted away.
"Again, please refrain from touching my girlfriend." Her voice was so calm that it freaked you out a bit.
"Fine~" She whined before walking away sulking.
"Shino. You need to bring it back a bit, She was just being friendly." You said quietly, latching onto her arm.
"A bit too friendly, don't you think?" She looked down at you and smiled.
"Don't worry love. I won't hurt her, but if she does that again." She placed a soft kiss on your lips.
"There will be a problem." She said before intertwining your fingers with hers, leading you back to your shared room.
THE NEXT DAY
This time you were talking with Sanemi and Giyuu.
"So, hows your thing with Shinobu?" The wind pillar asked out of the blue.
"I-uhhh...it's going g-great..!" You stuttered, smiling at them both.
"You seem tense. Here, let me help." Giyuu reaches his hands out to give you a massage but was stopped by someone grabbing his wrist.
"Tomioka, I think I will take it from here." She said, her voice still as calm as ever.
"Wow, no need to be hostile woman." Sanemi said, chuckling to himself.
"I'm not being hostile, I'm just being wary of my lovers safety." She said, smiling before grabbing my hand gently and dragging me away from them both.
The next few days looked like that. You would be talking with someone and the moment they tried to lay their hands on you Shinobu would be there to stop them.
It's not like you didn't want her to, but you were just worried that something was wrong. So you decided to ask.
"Shinobu?" You asked, rolling over to face her in the bed.
"Yes, love?" She said, opening her eyes and looking at you lovingly.
"What's wrong? You seem to be a bit overprotective lately. I just want to know what's bothering you." You asked, moving closer to her and brushing a hair out of her face.
"I don't know actually. I guess I just feel like you could be taken away from me so easily. Especially since everyone loves you...I don't want to lose you. I worked so hard to get you." She said, pulling you closer and burying her face in your neck.
"Don't be afraid Shino. I'm not gonna leave you. I love you too much to do that." You said, gently running your fingers through your hair.
"Good."
"Because you're mine."
