"Inosuke!" You shouted, smacking your boyfriend lightly on the head.
"Ow! What was that for?!" He growled, looking up at you with an angry pout.
"You spelt my name wrong! That's the name of a fruit!" You face palmed as you looked back down at the piece of paper in front of the both of you.
"Well I didn't know that!" He huffed, crossing his arms.
"It's fine, we'll continue this when I get back from my mission." You sighed before placing a gentle kiss on his forehead.
"Take care of yourself, piggy." You say, ruffling his hair.
"Hey!" He yelled, tackling you into a hug.
"Hahaha!" You laughed at your boyfriends childish behaviour.
"Mm." He angrily hummed, nuzzling into your neck.
"Ino, you need to let go of me now. I have to go." You giggled, reluctantly pushing the boy off of you.
"Don't die." He said, pulling you in for a soft kiss.
"I won't." You said once you pulled away from each other.
You smiled and waved to him as you walked away from the butterfly estate. Although it pained you to leave him again, it wouldn't take long before you returned.
FOUR DAYS LATER
You happily skipped your way down the path through the beautiful garden. You hummed a song as you took in the familiar setting.
"Welcome home Y/N." You turned towards the voice and saw Kanao.
"Oh! Thank you Kanao-chan! Where's Inosuke?" You say, smiling gently at the girl.
"He's our the back with the other boys. Don't worry, I didn't tell him when you'd get back." She says as you smiled and nodded before waving to her as you walked around the back.
You snuck around the back and saw him with Zenitsu and Tanjiro. They all looked exhausted, they were probably training all day.
You smiled and walked out into the open. Tanjiro was the first one to notice you.
"Y/N-chan!" He shouted, waving at you.
You watched as Inosukes head shot up, tearing the boar head off to reveal his beautiful hair. His eyes widened and he smiled, he looked like a child receiving their gift on Christmas. He immediately stood up and sprinted over to you.
You laughed as he picked you up in his arms and spun you around in a circle. You wrapped your arms around his as he put you down.
"God I missed you." He mumbled, hugging you tightly and nuzzling into your neck.
"I missed you too, piggy." You said, hugging him tighter.
TIMESKIP
It was a few weeks later and Inosuke was heading off for a mission. You smiled and hugged him.
"Don't die." You mimicked his words, making him scowl down at you.
"I'm serious! You better come back in one piece!" You say, pecking his lips and placing the boar head over his own.
"Yeah yeah. See ya later babe." He says.
All three of them wave at you as they leave the gates of the butterfly estate. You smile and go back to help water the gardens.
ANOTHER TIMESKIP
Two days later Kanao had given you a letter. You had never gotten a letter before and you were surprised when you saw 'Inosuke' written on the front.
"What the?" You opened it and saw beautiful handwriting covering nearly every inch of the paper.
You giggled, thinking that he must've gotten Tanjiro to write it for him. But then you kept reading and you realised...Inosuke had written this himself.
The spelling was perfect and so was he handwriting!
You sobered your mouth with your hand as happy tears slipped from your eyes as you continued to read.
The note read:
Oi Y/N,
It's been a few days since I left, stupid Monitsu told me it would be romantic if I wrote you something.
Yeah I know what you're thinking. You probably think I got one of the others to write this but nope. Why would I get one of them to do it when I'M your boyfriend?
Yeah that's right, I learned how to write properly. I learnt it when you were away on that mission a few weeks ago and I've been practicing ever since. Stupid, right? I learnt how to do this stupid thing for you. I hope you get this note.
We're on our way back, it shouldn't take long if Monitsu would stop complaining about how his legs hurt all the time. Anyway, I hope you haven't been too bored without me.
And don't worry...I'm not dead.

You smiled and hugged the note to your chest. You were ecstatic. He had learned the one thing he dreaded just so he could communicate with you while he was away.
You sighed in awe and planned how you were going to celebrate with him once he got back.
Oh how proud you were of him.
'If I could, I write you a thousand letters and more.'
