"B get Skye and get down." Ace pulled up his hoodie and grabbed his gun as he noticed the men.

While they were on the phone, he'd already looked back to see them across the restaurant watching him.

"Skye come here." Bianca got up and grabbed Skye. When the men stood up and reached into their coats, Ace jumped up, firing shots across the restaurant at them before they had the chance to draw their weapons. The men got down just like all the screaming customers. Bianca held Skye in her arms as she lay over her, protecting her until she felt Ace pull them up.

"Run. Get Skye the fuck out of here!" He yelled as more shots rang out. Only this time it was the men firing. She did what she was told, running with his daughter in her arms as customers trampled over each other trying to get out of the line of fire.

"Jay!" She screamed, looking back for him as people bumped into her, nearly knocking her down. Skye cried for her father, wrapping her arms tightly around Bianca's neck. The restaurant had cleared out, and she could see clearly now what had happened. Ace stood over the bodies of both men, checking to make sure they were dead. He clenched his jaw, livid that people had come at him like this while he was away with his family. He looked over to see Bianca standing in the door. He frowned harder and walked towards her, tucking his gun in the back of his pants.

"What are you still doing here, B? I told you to get her out of here." He said, listening to Skye cry.

"I...I was..."

"Let's go before the police show up."

"But our stuff—"

"It's only clothing. Let's get out of here now." He said, deciding that they'd take the exit door through the restaurant kitchen. He grabbed her hand, making sure that she was close behind him, as she kept her other arm wrapped tightly around Skye's back.

This wasn't how either of them had planned for their vacation in Paris to go. Thankfully, the cameras in the restaurant were down today, or else the whole ordeal would've been captured on camera. Although Ace had paid cash for his suite under a fake name, his face still would've been out there for everyone in Paris to see. He didn't want to risk their lives by taking his woman and child back to the room to get their things, in case people were waiting there. They were being watched for who knows how long, and he didn't know how many people had shown up at the hotel to do him harm. They were only leaving materialistic things behind. Things that could easily be replaced.

What mattered to him was keeping the ones he loved alive and figuring out who'd sent people after him. In his heart, he knew that it was William who was just playing it smart by sending men he didn't recognize.
