"Miss, I'm going to need you to go over your statement one last time," the police officer spoke, his cold stare glancing at me, "where were you on the night of Bailey's death?"

I brushed away my tears with a tissue I was given from the police officer, "I was staying over at a friends house, and so was Scarlett and Chi," I answered, "I woke up early in the morning to the sound of sirens and so did Scarlett, they were pretty loud, we followed them and went to investigate, and that's when we arrived, and I talked to you." I explained, calming down from my emotional wreckage.

He sighed heavily, slamming his notepad on the desk, "Alright, please go wait outside." he spoke, pointing towards the door, sliding the box of tissues towards me, I took them as tears began to swell up into my eyes, "T-Thank you." I spoke, nodding my head, turning my body to face the door, my hand grasped the isolated door handle before swinging it open.

As I walked out, the door slammed behind me as my eyes flickered around the police station, busy police men milled about, my eyes drifted to the people in the chair, more precise, the group and their family members, Bailey's parents were taken into a separate room due to their breakdowns and it was advised for the best which I could understand.

"Oh Blair, I'm so sorry what happened to your friend," my mother spoke, pouncing off her chair and enveloping me into a hug, I felt the tears swell again in my eyes as the embrace grew tighter and tighter, "Thanks Mom..." I spoke, my voice growing weaker till I broke out in tears.

My mother parted from the hug first, guiding me to sit down, my mother took the end seat with me beside her, her hand snaked around my shoulders, Scarlett was sat beside me which I felt more at ease at with her dad next to her, she placed a hand on my knee supportively, "It'll be okay, I promise." she reassured. I wiped my eyes, "I hope so, it pains me because I could've done something." I spoke, it was pretty vague thing to the rest of the parents but the twelve of us remaining knew what I was talking about, "Aw sweetie, it's okay," my mother spoke, pushing my head to her body, laying my head on her shoulder, "This isn't your fault, you couldn't stop this."

I didn't say anything as the truth hurt to much knowing I could, I could've stopped this. If only I could handle what my powers were, maybe Bailey would've still been with us now. If only, I wasn't too self-absorbed in my own business, I could've stopped this. Why? Why?

My eyes drifted up, to see Bronwyn, the bright glow in her eyes had transformed into a dull image surrounded by the red puffiness that clouded around her cheeks, her eyes shooting anger, sadness and betrayal towards my direction which I shot back with looks of guilt and sympathy.

"Bronwyn Smith," the police officer that questioned me spoke up, with the door swung open, Bronwyn stood up anxiously, her mother standing up behind her, "I'm coming with you, dear." her mother told her, Bronwyn nodded her head, giving in to her mothers order, stepping into the room with her mother tailing behind her.

Just as the door slammed behind her, Vivian arrived back into the room, "Have you rang your parents?" my mother asked, gesturing towards Vivian, "Uh, yeah, they're on their way back now." Vivian replied, taking her seat next to Levi, I wanted intently as Levi wrapped his arm around Vivian, her head lolled to a side, resting on her shoulder.

"How about you, sweetie?" my mom questioned, "Um, I don't have any...remaining....relatives." Chi admitted, twiddling her fingers with one another, "Well, we've always got a spare bedroom if you ever need a place to stay." my mom offered causing Chi to smile, "Thanks."

Despite the situation, it irritated me, I stood up hesitantly, not baring the sight of Vivian and Levi, coming to terms with the unknown jealousy I had, "I'm going to get some water." I told my mother as I stood up, looking at her confused face, "Oh, okay." my mom spoke, nodding her head.
