Another day of school, one that you particularly were and weren't excited for. Yes, you would finally get to go to the USJ. Something you had been waiting for almost your entire life. Definitely after you had finished grade school and finally made it to junior high, where you had sparked an interest in the hero world.
You don't really know when it first started. After starting your ninth grade year, each class would talk about how they want you to decide which high school you would be aiming for. After they had mentioned U.A., you became interested with the fact that All Might, the number one hero, had gone through three years at this school.
Never in a million years would you expect for you to get into the hero course.
Yes.
The day you and every other person trying out for the hero course was waiting for.
Anticipation filled your core, awaiting your entry through the large doors that stood between you and the interior of this particular school.
You thought that you were going a bit over the top, trying to get into this prestigious school that your parents had never dared to even try and get into. "Heroing", or whatever the hell it was called, seemed way to complex for a simple country couple.
They grew up in the mid-west and moved to Japan years back when you were only 2 years old. Luckily, your English was still terrible at that time in your life, so you could still pick up Japanese and speak fluently with your few friends.
Once you had decided that you would try out for the hero course and told your parents, they told you that they would move back home if you had gotten in. Yes, it would take a few months, but that was fine with you.
Did I mention that there were boxes everywhere in your apartment? No? Sorry... Well, since your parents would be moving out in the winter, you still would be living in the apartment for some time before moving into their dorm housing system.
Well, it was the big day. U.A. entrance exams. Just beyond the doors you were standing in front of would be a beautiful school interior with pro heroes scattered around the campus.
You opened the door to be greeted by a sign, showing you to the room where they would explain how everything would be executed. You smiled and followed it's instructions to make it to the room you needed to be in.
And of course Present Mic had done the instructions...
Luckily, it was a quick explanation, excluding the few interruptions from a broccoli-cinnamon roll mess and just Iida.
You knew just how you were going to take out the robots, happily.
Once you had exited the building and gone to the arena you were assigned to, you rubbed your sweaty palms on your leggings you had decided to wear today, and tried to calm yourself down. Aside from how easy it would be to get in, you still had self doubt that you would make it in.
Yes, you would be able to take out a chunk of the ground and chuck it at some robots, knock them down, do a short victory dance/cheer (you choose), then go off to find another robot to assassinate; but you would still be afraid that everyone would pass, and you wouldn't.
It got kind of annoying that you would just have so much self doubt, knowing that there is always hope, but never noticing until after the task was complete.
After beating about 50 robots, you realized how drowsy you were getting. You were starting to make your way to the limit of your quirk, but you knew you couldn't stop if you wanted to get into U.A.. If you gave up, it would show everyone how much of a wimp you were and how you didn't even bother to help anyone, even when you were tired. That doesn't make a good hero at all. One of the most dominant reasons that you wanted to even try to be a hero was because you hated seeing people get hurt. It made your stomach unsettled at even the thought of someone hurting.
It might even be internal pain. No, not internal bleeding or something like that. More like in the mind. Whenever people are emotionally in pain, it makes you really just want to give them a huge hug. If they don't like hugging, emotional support is always another option that you are more than willing to do.
Other than that, you just wanted to make people happy.
Just to see a smile on their face...
Yeah...
That's all you wanted...
This is when you started realizing that you might need to help out Todoroki more than ever. He might've not been talking to you since you had that small argument, but you could tell he was hurting. Something was wrong whenever you mentioned his family or even his scar... That didn't matter to you.
Emotional support (Y/N) ready and in action.
On your way to school, you thought about how you would approach him and get him to open up. Yes, he was probably just going to try and distance you further from him than you already were, but it didn't matter. You only needed to get at least a little closer to understand what is going on and help him out. His smile made your heart flutter, yet you hadn't felt that feeling for what feels like an eternity, yet has only been a couple of days.
No more sulking in your dark hole in your room. You needed to figure out why he was so mad at you. It might not even be you. It could just be his anger issues starting to flare up. Maybe he was a spawn of Katsuki Bakugou, just in a different form and trying to hide it.
You had no idea. But the next day at school, you were going to find out, whether or not. Even if it was just what you thought.
"I'll do anything to make you smile, I just never want to see you cry."
