A few weeks later, after I became owner of David's Foodplace (which is officially called Evie's Foodplace) and Gordon became head chef, there have been some ups and downs, with cooks serving raw meat and overcooked food.
"Service please!" Gordon called out. A waiter came to take a plate of grilled salmon with asparagus.
I smiled. It seems like I have managed being owner of this restaurant. And the most amazing thing is we've been getting positive reviews then we did a couple of weeks ago.
After work, I invited Gordon to my house. I gave him a tour and he loved it. We both sat on my bed.
"Hey, I feel like being the owner of 'Evie's Foodplace' has been great. You know, if I haven't had fired David, this restaurant would still be disgusting" I said to Gordon.
"Well, you're doing very well. Anyone would hire you for anything" Gordon said.
I laughed and kissed Gordon on the lips.
