Now we're only falling apart

Kinda sad?? drabbles?? about breaking up ??

I've never experienced it (with a guy), so I'm doing the best I can

It was appreciation time, as you called it. Where you and Ogata Hyakunosuke, your boyfriend of over a year or so, just sit there and enjoy each other's presence. With your legs lazily wrapped around his waist, you sat your head on his shoulder. He returned the favor by wrapping his arms around your waist and pulling you into his lap. 

Doing this at the end of every day seemed to calm him down. It was hard for you to tell though. Even when you met him in school, he never spoke much unless it was needed for a project or something. 

You could feel his heart thumping against your ribcage at the same pace as yours. Maybe you two were supposed to be together? You squeezed Hyakunosuke's head in your hands. He leaned softly into your touch and looked you in the eye. His perse pupil boring into yours with no real passion. 

It was hard to tell how he felt about you through his eyes, he never really showed nervousness or embarrassment. Just the want for affection.  It honestly scared you. Was he making up plans to kill you? Leave you? You never knew what he was going to do next. He was rather calm and level-headed and occasionally liked to tease, and that's it. 

But those damn eyes.

That's mostly what you couldn't stand about him. You always wondered if anyone saw any emotion in those dark eyes. His mother maybe? His Grandmother? No, even in the pictures you had seen, there was just a blank, unwavering light in his eyes. It truly terrified you, this unidentified emotion.

"Hey, Hyakunosuke..." You called, your voice muffling a bit through his shirt. A simple "hm?" was your answer.

Before you break it off, you wanted to be sure of something, "How are you feeling?" You can feel his breathing hitch. Did he even know how he was feeling? Content? Pessimistic? 

He sat up and looked you in the eyes, "...I feel with my fingers-"

Your eyebrow twitched in slight anger, "That's it, we're breaking up-"
