The eight of you thoroughly enjoyed yourselves (Ogata actually swayed his head to clapping and songs) and the villagers enjoyed your company at the ceremony. You rocked Asirpa in your lap and watched with a smile as Shiraishi made a sleeping pile with the village men.

Asirpa yawned a bit and turned her head towards an ever-smiling Inkarmat, who was sitting beside you two. Cikapasi held his head in his "older sister's" lap while she rubbed his hair soothingly.

Asirpa turned her head and looked at you, looking at them, "Are you okay with this?"

You slowly nodded and looked at Asirpa with a smile, "It's all good as long as I have you and Saichi."

Sugimoto smiled at you. Ogata rolled his eyes. Then Tanigaki came over and sat in front of Asirpa, "Asirpa. I've come to take you back to Huci."

Asirpa sat up straight and raised an eyebrow, "Huci? Is something wrong with her?"

Tanigaki solemnly nodded, "She's been having dreams about never seeing you again."

Asirpa frowned and looked at the floor.

Ogata closed his eyes with a huff, "Private Tanigaki... You really came all the way from Otaru to tell her that?" he asked, his rifle resting peacefully on his shoulder.

Tanigaki nodded.

"First Lieutenant Tsurumi actually sent you here to spy on me, didn't he?"

Inkarmat's smiled dropped. She excused herself outside.

Tanigaki furrowed his thick ass zig zaggy eyebrows, "No! I'm done with the army! Her grandmother took care of me and now it's my job to bring her back safely!" he countered.

Ogata's empty black eyes bored into Tanigaki's brown ones, "I don't buy it."

You raised a brow at Ogata. "Tanigaki threw his hat into a fire. He's not with the army anymore. I was there." You were pretty sure that Ogata just likes attacking people and breaking them down.

Ogata kept talking, "You were a passionate believer in First Lieutenant Tsurumi...You killed three men in the mountains."

Sugimoto cocked his head to the side, "Mountains? Those three that were with Tanigaki were killed by a bear. I was there so I saw it myself." he put his two cents in.

Tanigaki looked shocked, " A bear?" Hey, more credibility.

"Che. Grandma had a dream where she never saw her granddaughter again? Send a damn letter."

Literally, EVERYONE rolled their eyes at Ogata. Everyone who joins the Sugimoto group should know that Ainu heavily believe in dreams. They think that kamuy are trying to tell you something. Ogata's just mean as fuck.

You softly rocked and held Asirpa bridal style in your arms, "We can go back if you want to, Asirpa."

Sugimoto nodded, "Maybe if Huci sees your face one more time the prophecy will be broken? Maybe she'll feel better afterward." He gave her a concerned look. Huci was like everybody's grandma.

Asirpa looked at Sugimoto, "... Are you trying to baby me?"

Asirpa.

You are literally being held, damn near rocked to sleep.

"There's something I want to know! And I'll do anything to find it out. Even if it costs me my future." she spoke rashly.

Sugimoto looks at her and smiled. He liked her DETERMINATION.

Tanigaki closed his eyes and nodded, "Respect."

You were pretty sure Ogata was asleep, and Cikapasi was literally kicking Shiraishi away from him.
