Sonic's P.O.V

I tell Sapphire where my room is then look at the TV for a while. Man there's nothing much on the channel.

"Thanks, Goodnight guys."

"Goodnight Sapphire." Tails calls out from his workshop

"Night Saff." I called out. I grabbed the remote and turn off the TV and turn around to see Tails looking at me weird... What's going on?

"Really... Saff?"

"What? It's short for Sapphire!" He shakes his head then walks into his workshop I follow him since I had nothing to do and he starts making something...

"I thought you were taking care of Cosmo all these weeks..." He grumbled

"I'm sorry Tails... I didn't mean to-"

"YOU KNOW THAT COSMO MENT ALOT TO ME!" He snapped at me. I jumped back in shock and watch as his temper arised. I never seen him like this!

"You said weeks ago, don't worry about Cosmo I will take care of her for you don't stress about it! AND LOOK WHAT HAPPEN!" I see a couple of tears spreading through Tails face as he yelled. He turned back to his invention and began to calm down... I think. I sighed... Tails is right, ever since Cosmo died he has been so emotional about her.

"I... I just don't want to see you tear down from depression..." I sigh and looked down a little. "Also... I just want to see you happy as you were always been." I was about to turn but I felt a hand on my shoulder and see Tails looking towards me.

"I'm sorry Sonic... It's just that-"

"I understand." I smiled "Brothers?" He smiled and hugged me.

"Brothers." I hugged back till Tails turned around, wiping his tears then goes back to his invention.

"I care for you Tails like in a brotherly way." I hope he won't take it wrong.

"Don't worry I understand, and speaking about care..."

"Yeah?"

"You care a lot about Sapphire don't you?" He turned around and smirked at me. Wait! How did he know!?

"Uh... I don't know? How about you? Do you?" I rushed trying to make myself not worried but I think I failed at it.

He laughed "Come on Sonic."

"Why do you think I care a lot about her?" Please don't tell me he saw some things we did.

"Well I saw you holding her hand when I was helping her leg-"

"I was comforting her!" I butted in.

" Really?... Even carrying her?"

"She was injured!"

"Sleeping on your chest?"

"She was sleepy and how did you know!?"

"You know we have binoculars in the plane?"

"While flying!?"

"Please, Sonic! I'm a pro! Also what about wiping her tears?"

"She was crying in her sleep! Come on Tails I was helping her also I got all the proof I need. It's not like I was googling eyes on her!"

"Oh yeah? What about when you were waiting for me to open the door and you were staring at her?" I open my mouth but nothing came out... I had no comeback this time...

"Fine! You win!" I groaned

"So you do like her?" He questioned.

I sigh "Yeah, I admit it. I do like her."

"I knew it! So when's the wedding?" WHAT!

"Whoa, Whoa, Whoa! Tails, To far! Please change the subject!" I hit my head on the table frustrated "And please... Keep this a secret... AND promise me that!"

"Ok Sonic, promise." He chuckle and grabbed something that I don't know because I wasn't paying attention.

"Also let's check who this person is." I look to see his invention the one that beeped over that dead body.

"Ok do your thing Tails." My head still on the table. He nodded and starts to press some buttons on his thing. It took a while till it showed us the info and a picture of a black and white cat. I lift my head looking over Tails' shoulder ready to read it.

"It's a female cat named Hope... She has no powers at all and used to take care of her best friends children." Tails finished then looked at me.

"I feel sorry for this person... If I was only faster-" I felt a hand on my shoulder.

"Sonic, there was nothing you can do... You can't change the past. Don't blame yourself all the time... you didn't know."

I sigh "You're right... Thanks Tails."

"No problem, that's what brothers are for." I smile at the yellow kitsune then yawned and stretched.

"Well let's call it a night!" I growled while stretching. Tails did the same thing and nodded.

"When should we tell Sapphire about Hope?" Tails got out of his seat looking at me for an answer.

"No not yet, Sapphire is still grieving when the time is right we'll tell her." Tails nodded as we went into the lounge. I got up to the front door opening it and stepping outside seeing the darkness already covering the forest.

"Sonic where are you going!?" Tails calls out from the house. I turn around facing him.

"Sleeping on the roof, Goodnight Tails!" Before he could say anything I jumped onto the roof and lied down looking at the stars. Man, they are beautiful... I raised my hands and rested them behind my head comfortably and sighing in relaxation. Today was interesting... Dr. Eggman finally got the guts to destroy a village... Or did he already have to guts to do something like that?... Anyway, saved a beautiful white Hedgehog with plant powers and is living with us for now... Yeah, also I'm falling in love... I close my eyes resting and waiting for the warmth of the sun to come and meet me.
