“AND IT JUST KEPT REPEATING?”

Becky, El, and Five sat back at the table. Five clasped his hands together, his leg bouncing under the table nervously.

“Repeat?” El asked, confused not knowing the word.

“We should expand her vocabulary.” Five muttered under his breath.

Five looked into the living room where Levi was sat on the ground holding Ben. Five didn’t know who the boy was talking to, either Terry or Six.

Five watched with soft eyes as Twelve made his plushie ‘dance’ while talking to mid-air which the older boy assumed was where Six was sitting. Five’s heart clenched when Levi turned and started talking to Terry as if she would reply.

“Like a circle? Just showing you the same image over and over?” Becky replied to El as Five tuned back into the conversation.

“She kept showing the girl in the room.” Eleven spoke softly, squinting her eyes in thought.

“The rainbow room?” Becky questioned, a hint of doubt in her voice that Five picked up on causing him to scowl.

El’s eye twitched as she finally picked up on the tone, sharing a look with Five as Levi kissed his mother's cheek and walked to the kitchen sitting next to Five who grabbed his free hand.

“What did this girl look like?” Becky asked, glancing at the boys’ intertwined hands before looking back at her niece.

“Different.”

“Different than you?

“I think this is why mama wanted to talk.”

“To show you the girl?” Becky raised an eyebrow at the girl as El nodded looking towards her brother then to her mom.

“I think she wants us to find her.”

Five leaned back in his seat the movement causing Levi to look towards him.

Levi furrowed her brows at the older boy, “Are you okay?” he mumbled while squeezing Ben tightly.

Five turned his head to look at the boy, squeezing Levi’s hand gently, he smiled. “I’m fine.”

Five didn’t want to make the boy he cared for worry. Five knew Levi was having trouble grasping the concept of what is going on and Five didn’t want to add onto the younger boy's stress.

Becky looked between the three, before getting out of her seat, gesturing for them to follow, which they did.

“When Terry was looking for you two, she kept these files of other missing kids. Kids, she thought were like you.” Becky said as they stopped at a file cabinet in the living room, the lady started going through the draw and started taking out the files.
